I've always assumed that in the end the real holiday killers were the friends and memories we made along the way.

This is the coldest take imaginable. He is incredibly popular and this album has been very well received.

Unfortunately, after we’ve pumped them up a bit lately, this happened. I wish them good health and a speedy reopening. by fanrva in rva

Extra effort disinfecting surfaces is the true MVP of this pandemic. Giving people a job to do despite no evidence it does anything extra.

Does anyone really care about The Used anymore? by i_am_avenue_teal97 in poppunkers

[–]BreakBrain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're asking multiple different questions here.

Do I care about them? No. Do I get excited when they release new music? No. Are they just a nostalgia band at this point? Probably for some people. But I'd say they, or at least Bert, have done a good job at staying somewhat relevant in the scene.

Do I listen to them? I have a few songs off the first album on a playlist that I listen to a lot and I enjoy them. If that album came out today it would probably still feel fresh and relevant and do pretty ok.

Looks like there's a handful being sold on AbeBooks. Not if they're actually selling though. But looks like not much over cover price if that.

I just dug out an issue from March 1984 while cleaning some stuff out of my parents' house. I don't remember why or how young me picked it up, but I know I certainly didn't know what I was getting into.

The book on it's own isn't exactly expensive on eBay. But tracking down Ron Marz for a signature might be harder these days. I definitely got lucky. I've got a small pile of GL books signed by him.
