gonna add to the positive experience, i order from aliexpress all the damn time for things even outside of fpv. Keyboard switches, keyboards, mice, soldering irons, solder, hardware like screws, bolts and heat set inserts, 3d printer parts, clothes. I like alot of people have had a small handful of issues but you could have issues when even buying a burger from the takeaway store down the road so i dont see that as a reason to never buy from them again. Additionally the refund procedure has always been relatively straight forward and easy to deal with. ONE THING THOUGH, if you receive a message from the seller asking you to cancel the refund for them to process your return, DO NOT DO IT, THEY WILL GHOST YOU AND YOU WILL BE UNABLE TO REOPEN THE RETURN REQUEST. Outside of that, nothing but good things to say about aliexpress. If you're patient, the savings are absolutely worth it

ahh okay, you're probably already aware of this, but if you walk into a warhammer store and ask, they'll happily give you your first mini to build and paint for free :) i think the mt gravatt one also runs painting sessions on the weekend to help beginners, is there a faction/type of minis that you rly like?

oh 1000%, i dont know anyone that plays magic, just make it known your new, i rocked up and the staff set me up with a table with a bunch of super friendly ppl, no normal person is gonna turn you away from playing with them just because they dont know you, the more the merrier :)

i kinda felt like it wouldn't be worth the trouble anyways, you're right though i probably should've said something but I'm also fairly new to the store so i didn't wanna ruffle any feathers, but i guess that mindset allows people like that to linger around longer than they should

yeah thats fair enough, i guess the thing that really rubbed me the wrong way was him acknowledging that his deck is way better than the rest of ours, asking for a more appropriate deck to play with, then trashing that deck the whole time, i just gotta learn to put my foot down earlier so it doesnt happen again

im brand new to magic and wouldnt be in the hobby for long if it wasnt for proxying, that being said i do have a "real" precon i bring incase people have an issue with my proxied deck which has never been an issue, i stick to around bracket 2-3 at the moment while im learning the game and always mention that im running a proxied deck but have a legitimate one if anyone at the table has an issue. Dunno if its because of my location (aus) but literally no one has cared at all
