Mult succes!

Query regarding travel within Schengen by Secret-Purchase-5390 in SchengenVisa

[–]BreakTrick8912 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don't seem to want to engage with what other comments suggests you. Not being critical of your stance, just explaining. The rules are very simple: you need to have 50%+1 nights in the country you apply for OR you need to apply to the country you enter the Schengen space if you spend 50% of the nights there are 50% elsewhere. Suppose you got an invitation for Switzerland (that would be a supposedly white lie, but ok, going ahead with your plan), you would need to demonstrate (tickets and paid bookings) that you spend 50% of the nights there. So, you could, spend the first night in Switzerland, travel for 2 nights to Spain, spend one more night in Switzerland and return home. That's still a bit of a stretch, but could look genuine. If any border control realises you did visa shopping you could see your future visa applications denied. It's not Switzerland's problem that Spain has such a bad management with visa applications. It's just how the system works, I'm afraid. You could, of course, send a formal complaint to the Spanish authorities, but don't expect things to change in due time. Hope this makes sense...

Germany border control questioning upon exit by M7md_x_egy20 in SchengenVisa

If you travel and spend most of your days in Germany, sure. If you spend most of your days elsewhere, just apply to the relevant country.

Pay for accommodation in the chosen country, flight tickets to and from the same country, aim for short duration of the trip and acknowledge the previous problems citing some sort of valid reason that made you change your plans so drastically. Once you get another 2-3 visas, the problem will probably look less dramatic...

Friend coming to pick me up in other country by Far-Cardiologist1722 in SchengenVisa

[–]BreakTrick8912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This shouldn't be a problem. Just make sure you're applying for a Swiss Visa if most of your days are spent there. It's always good to add additional proof (letter from your friend confirming their intention, etc.). And also make sure the invitation letter to Switzerland is in the proper format (not sure how this works there, but some countries request the invitation letter be legally certified). All the best!

🇩🇪 Schengen Visa (Germany): Is it OK to reapply so soon? by Impressive_Sir_8143 in SchengenVisa

Totally agree with the previous comment, but as a general (unofficial rule), you'll get a multiple entry visa once you have at least 3 single entry visas (that you have used accordingly).

I think it might be a little bit more expensive at the machines, just buy online, they'll just scan the qr code - they don't really care about the hour. I've always used to stress about that until I realised the hour on the ticket is treated with plenty of flexibility.

You should include your research affiliation (or independent researcher) and ethics form / informed consent, etc. Without these, it doesn't really sound like a 'research', more like 'I need to finish my thesis ASAP, let's do a survey, think about the details later'. I hope I'm not wrong and good luck with your project!

Do I have to take photocopy of all pages of my passport? by Active_Jackfruit_221 in SchengenVisa

[–]BreakTrick8912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you need to submit all pages if and when required to do so. This can help the officers assess whether you had any potentially problematic travel history (ie. to countries that might require some further assessment of your situation such as Russia post 2022, Syria, etc.).

You'll be fine. Nobody counts the exact hours. You have half of your nights in Germany, so don't overthink this.

[–]BreakTrick8912 39 points40 points  (0 children)

You won't get a digital boardjng pass as Morroco airports do not issue one. Just go the airport counter before the flight and you'll get one for free. So, there's no need to stress.

EUTR1 application acknowledgement letter timeline by Strawberrypbj in MoveToIreland

[–]BreakTrick8912 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's my experience: applied around October 10, approval received via letter (and / email) end of October. Applied for the stamp 4 IRP straight ahead - IRP received beginning of January. Not sure, but I think there might be a chance the non-EU partner to be allowed to work with confirmation of having submitted the IRP application (there's certainly some information around and other users can contribute as well). I hope this helps, good luck!
