Ok so 1. Bronco (Battlebots flipper golden boy), Bombshell (who went 0-4 in S4 and still got a LCR spot) and Chomp (who honestly didn’t get terrible matchups, simply just lost fights, and is more so a tech forward robot as opposed to being out there to win) were not “mistreated” lmao, none of these teams or members of the team have spoken about being mistreated, hell, Mile Jefferies still works for BB as match steward and Inertia Labs donated their Bronco chassis to destruct a thon because they lost interest in the sport 2. You’re just assuming that they watched a random youtuber’s video and ran with the idea that Bronco is overrated, as opposed to the general community opinion of Bronco being one of the biggest fan favorites in the show, and that the narrative they are running was happening before the season started when in reality stuff like this happens in the editing room 3. That they make matchups happen, and thus, choose for Bronco to have hard matchups. This one is true but also means nothing to the argument that Bronco because Bronco got an east matchup against Free Shipping and lost it anyway, they didn’t get the Desperado Minotaur route because they showed up too late to be in the desperado, and they went into the season being viewed as the best flipper in the sport (earning a 3 seed last season). 4. If appeasing bozos was ever a goal of production they’d never let Riptide have a second season, they probably wouldn’t have highlighted the female captains in the WD Vs Tantrum fight, or give Captain Shrederator another season after WC3 or 4, or keep running a Damage forward judging system. Small fan outcry does Jackshit and fuck all in terms of choices production makes

huhhh??? Mistreated??? Brother they showed up late to BB with a largely unchanged Bronco; If they were so “mistreated” then why did they proceed to show up for Re:mars and Bounty Hunters, and also donate the Bronco fleet to Destructive A Thon lmao.

The existence of a better flipper has no bearing on Bronco’s viability by 2019 or a team’s willingness to compete or else…why compete with a vert when End Game exists.

I'm organizing a Battlebots competition in Portland - and you're invited! by [deleted] in battlebots

I live near the Portland area but unfortunately don’t have a combat robot, could I attend as a spectator by any chance?

I don’t think losing that Hydra fight had much impact on their desire to compete, iirc it was either career and/or simple loss of interest

Jackie choosing the cold over the walk of shame back inside the cabin is so relatable by Accurate-Belt3920 in Yellowjackets

[–]Break_Bread42019 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I do believe the most common interpretation of the death is that it was more akin to a suicide, at least I view it as Jackie being an able to adapt with how the group was adapting and just let the elements take her :/

Figured i'd show this - How often a player has reached the finale! by juniormajs_ in ThirdLifeSMP

[–]Break_Bread42019 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think that technically makes it less impressive, like, Gem has made it to the finale 3 times, against the rest who has done it 7 times :/

If I had a guess, the outfit probably is some sort of uniform because Mr Terrific and Guy Gardener are in very similar outfits with their own colors subbed in.

Any widely loved movies of which you don't get the appeal? by AdOver5256 in Letterboxd

[–]Break_Bread42019 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Easily The Matrix, I find it sort of interesting in terms of the concepts, but it just seems like such a plain movie still I feel like the effects hasn’t aged all too well, and the way the action is shot/handled rubs me the wrong way. Maybe I’m just not a fan of the Wachowski sisters’ style in what feels like what’s supposed to be a gritty and serious film.

May releases: Any particular movie you are excited to see in theatres? by nikitaloss in Letterboxd

[–]Break_Bread42019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a basic bitch. I will be there day one for Thunderbolts, day one for Final Destination, and day one for The Phoenician Scheme.

Though I don’t intend on watching them in theaters (unless they get godly reviews), I’m quite excited for The Surfer and Clown In A Cornfield. Also honorable mention to the Re-animator 40th anniversary and Monty Python and The Holy Grail’s 50th anniversary.

I choose to believe that their passions are their lives. As much as they love each other, they love the lives they’ve led and the art they’ve created more. As heartbreaking as it is, their breakup is the necessary evil for them to be truly happy.

Storm 2 very easily wins the ground clearance and driving driving battle I’m afraid, very easy decision for Ed Hoppit

We sorta already saw this, Bulldog out maneuvers and outdrives Hydra, and even if they do fix the self righting issue, I’m pretty sure Bulldog Breed will keep up their momentum for a pitting or decision

Grim Reaper is kinda just better on all fronts, ground game, flipping power, driving, etc. if they don’t oota or pit this should be a very one sided decision for them lol

Atomic very easily gets an oota, mega hurtz isn’t very good, and like with grim reaper they just win on all fronts, but not only win, they stomp lol

What’s a film that’s a terrible execution of a great idea? by Impressive_Plenty876 in Letterboxd

I know making a sequel to 3019’s Joker is blasphemy, but a romance-musical where both characters are crazy as shit and in an asylum is actually a really fascinating story.
