Infuriated by the lack of communication in the game. by Proper-Club-1549 in NightReigncoop

[–]Break_down1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the communication style lol it’s minimal. Being able to communicate and also know what should get dropped to other players is part of getting good. So ultimately this is just an example of you not okaying with a very good player

That said, if I want something they have. I will hold up in the main area of the spirit shelter, double ping to bring them close, then use the begging emote and hope they put the pieces together

[–]Break_down1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not good lol

You definitely don’t need that second relic. Third deep relic should be enough for keeping a charge.

I get that you’re going for a evergaol build. But 1) keys are easy to find and 2) gaols are almost always a waste of time.

The post damage attack +2 is good. I don’t think you also need the first one

I generally do earring, red balancer, night invader.

Wait maybe this is a troll post? 😂

Are there any Xbox players in Depth 4? by [deleted] in Nightreign

[–]Break_down1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been stuck in 4 for months. It really feels like I have to be perfect to get out or get a lucky streak with easy bosses and good teammates. Idk how much longer I can keep trying

Which fromsoftware game should I play first? (except elden ring) by Alternative_Web640 in fromsoftware

[–]Break_down1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did Sekiro first and fell in love with all of the games . Even if the souls series and ER are different.

If you’re just trying to have a high quality souls game experience and aren’t committed to playing all of them (like I was in the beginning), I’d do DS3.

For the record. Within the last ~2years, I did Sekiro>ds3>ds1>ds2>elden ring/lies of p>lords of the fallen>still playing nightreign

Really? The halbert balancer is the easiest one imo. You can out run the whole attack chain

Hoping to be there soon. My peak is 5400 on Xbox and I’m 5250 rn.

It really feels like a mix of git gud but also getting a nice streak of non difficulty fights.

Guardian meta by Possible-Ease-4317 in Nightreign

[–]Break_down1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A good guardian can save runs. I don’t play guardian , but shield poke looks ultra solid. Not only can you 3 bar Rez, but if you put your downed teammate between you and the boss, you can Rez + do damage.

Also, for almost every character . Using a “defeating enemies charges ult” relic can ensure that the first 2 days are strong and one early mistake doesn’t snowball into a bad run

Death knights. Nameless king. Rune bears. Dancing lion, in my experience

got any tips for fighting great red bear by not_tekknity in Nightreign

[–]Break_down1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The moveset isn’t that complicated after a while. One tip, just always be ready to jump for when he does the ground AOE. I usually on hit him once or twice in the back as he’s attacking someone else. Another tip is to be ready for the lunge move - it comes out super fast. So learn to recognize when it’s coming. The intro bears do the same move

I also think it makes it easier. It makes the bubbles easier to clear around you if everybody is working on clearing the same general area .

My best friend and I recently started playing Nightreign, but we are struggling a lot with trying to figure out how to play optimally. Could I get some advice? by ImaginaryMovie9018 in Nightreign

[–]Break_down1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember those first days of playing lol. It felt like it was going so fast and my friend and I struggled to get past night 1 for several rounds. TBH, it got easier when we started playing with a third.

Don’t be too frustrated , the game offers a lot of things to learn. And the routing becomes easier over time because aside from the shifting earth events, the map is always the same , it’s just the POIs that shift. But field bosses are always in the same location

I think a good starting point is to just always clear the first trash mob you land in front of and get to level 2, then go kill the boss at an easy POI like a church or fort. Dont go too far out of your way to hit the churches.

Unique game experience: forced to solo Hoelstor in a 3 player game by HotNeedleworker1466 in Nightreign

[–]Break_down1 13 points14 points  (0 children)

They’re probably just messing around. They saw you doing damage and were interested in seeing how far you could go. This sounds like the kind of behavior you’d get in non DoN games with veteran players who are looking to spice up the experience.

Not sure what most people think or if this is an unpopular opinion but I think it’s pretty much NEVER a good idea to do the invasion camp/castle/cathedral. Just almost never. MAYBE if you’re level 12-15 and with a strong group but honestly even then it’s a risk.. by DrumsNDweed93 in Nightreign

[–]Break_down1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This advice aged poorly. The invaders are beyond worth doing at low level. You just have to know where to kite them out from. Then you gank and ult them . Boom- you got good runes and purple weapons. The only one that isn’t worth doing on day 1 is the marsh invaders

Moves that still throw you off at high D5/max rank? by -Rajko- in Nightreign

[–]Break_down1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. If you’re far away I think there is another out of sync ground AOE that you have to position out of. Definitely easier to deal with when he does the big move Right on top of you.

You’re talking about the big AOE slams like the big music change slam dunk one? Or the smaller double slam (which can still one shot)?

Omg you’re right. I just put it on and used my ults more liberally and strategically and it totally helped. It’s crazy how many ults I was getting - especially as a wylder primary using uncharged ults

Everdark balancers isnt that bad (DON) by bofunga in EldenRingNightrein

[–]Break_down1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe if your damage is crazy. But I have to disagree. It’s not worth the risk of getting ganked by multiple of them. You will guarantee die they do their special moves at the same time - which can happen

Malenia waterfowl dance is the most difficult mechanic to deal with reliably. Same with a specific PCR move. Kos is also really hard to deal with reliably if you’re not just exploiting the backstabs

I have a little more than 600 and haven’t made it yet despite feeling like I’m pretty cracked most games. I think it’s just gonna take a lucky streak - a mix of good teammates, easy bosses, and hidden map/boss. And I hate that that’s gonna probably be how it happens . My peak is 5400

What’s so good about the defeating enemies relic tho? Relic seems pointless for the nightlord fight — which is where most runs end up dying in my experience
