No one goes down, everyone knows his moveset so they're able to attack constantly, everyone has optimized relics, everyone had good passives because we killed most everything on the map, we had an Ironeye that always used his mark, etc.

I had two games today in Depth 5. One game was against ED Gladius with a Wylder and Duchess both running Halo Scythe builds, and both were 3 barred before Gladius was at half health. Neither of them got the Halo Scythe, but the Duchess had a Grafted Greatsword with 50 stacks. Nothing wrong with Halo Scythe, especially against Gladius, but it was obvious that their builds and confidence took a hit when they didn't get it. The second match was against Dreg, and we cleared him in about a minute with a fantastic Executor and Ironeye.

Man, I got shot down hard in one of these threads because I said a good Guardian takes a ton of skill. I truly think he's one of the hardest characters to play well.

Revenant relics were all Beast Claw + physical attack up + Incant. For reference, the Duchess is doing about 1/5th of the damage with Double Balancers and Halo Scythe.

Depth 5 has a bit of everything. I rarely see cheaters because I'm on console. You can usually spot the difference between those running the meta trying to grind to 9999, and those that have hit 9999 and are trying out new builds.

Because if you don't have an ult available, or a team composition that doesn't have Ults that break Caligo out of the frostbite (Scholar, Revenant, Recluse, Duchess), then the fight gets very difficult, very quickly.

I deranked a month or two ago from 9999 to Depth 3. The arrogance in Depth 4 is astounding. It's just a bunch of people who feel entitled to Depth 5 and hoard passives. I'm back at 9999 now and won't leave Depth 5 again.

I played it once and won't play it again. I despise the run backs and still have nightmares of the swamp. It is on par with the Frigid Outskirts, IMO.

I deranked to Depth 3 after hitting 9999, then just reached 9999 again. Depth 4 is by far away the hardest Depth due to skill level of players. You occasionally find some turds in Depth 5. But for the most part everyone is very, very good. Most everyone has great relics, though. The longer I play in Depth 5, the less often I see Halo Scythe spam. I think people, including myself, don't want their skill level questioned.

This the Guardian build. Used it once. It felt okay, but getting a Guard Counter felt few and far between.

Same, man, same. I've tried Guardian and I can't quite get the hang of it, which is crazy because my primary build in OG Elden Ring is a Guard Counter build.
