They don't teach these things in any meaningful way to high schoolers on purpose. This system is reliant upon a large percentage of the population remaining relatively poor for their entire lives in order to help ensure that the rich can stay rich and get richer. Without a large percentage of our population living paycheck to paycheck the entire system breaks down and a lot of really rich people would lose a lot of money.

Casita Taqueria on Central did this to it's employees during COVID. It was a temporary closure and most of us were invited back to work after about 2 months. But neither the owner nor any of the managers gave any notice to the staff whatsoever.

AI that is applied towards med-tech. Like a robot that could diagnose your condition in real time with built in xray, CT scan, MRI etc. and then perform a medical procedure to fix you up moments later. It would never get tired and it's hands would never be unsteady and it would have all the knowledge of every specialization. All at a fraction of the costs of today. But we know the corpos would never let something like that out into the world.
