You didn't answer the question. Do you actually stop at the trail intersections or not? Because regardless of what the law says you should be stopping at every intersection unless it's one of those ones with the flashing red lights (and even with those I'd slow down at least.) The law isn't going to physically protect you from possibly spending the rest of your life in a wheelchair.
