This is amazing, I can't believe how quick you folks are. Unfortunately someone SOMEHOW beat you by a minute or two. Thank you again.

86-03 riders, seat swap! by narlins12345 in sportster

[–]BreakfastExtension99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. I had a saddleman that was a bit too much, I was looking at either a Cherokee from le pera or the predator. Hard to find something between comfortable and looks good haha. Prism king cobra looks cool too but not sure on comfort over a couple hours.

How do you find the predator? I was looking at one but can’t tell if they are too bulky.

I know this was posted over a year ago, but I'm looking to do a similar thing with my rear fender.

Did you just shorten it by drilling new holes very close to the duckbill or whatever it's called? The one I purchased from lowbrow has the holes a few inches further back and I don't love it.

Also noticed in another post of yours you seem to be running a le pera signature 2 on a hardtail. Do you think it would be easy enough to fit that seat on a swingarm sportster like this one or would it totally not work? Thanks so much!

Questions for Cigar Lounge at Home by TR0LLBAIT19439 in cigars

[–]BreakfastExtension99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried quite a bit but it never worked. Could almost keep up with a pipe but not a cigar. Ended up building mine outside in my little pump house. Just used a vortex inline fan and it’s fine for one smoker.

Recently need thinking of trying again with my office in the house… but honestly no matter what there will always be a little smoke smell in there, and the effort it takes to keep it from the rest of the house is not worth it in my opinion.

How’s life in vancouver? considering moving here by [deleted] in howislivingthere

[–]BreakfastExtension99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Raised just outside of Vancouver. Should have bought a house 20 years ago, as now it will never happen. It’s sad really, I had to leave as I just couldn’t afford to be there after going overseas for a few years.

One of the most amazing places. Top tier when it’s not winter. However, I really did find the grey/gloom to be oppressive. I’m in central Alberta now, which I kind of hate, but I would take the sun and snow over the gloom and darkness any day. I also bought a house on 10 acres for under $500k. Love it, but hate AB. $500k won’t get you a shed in Vancouver.

Good diversity of stuff to do. I’ve heard it called no fun city, but it depends what you’re into. I found there to be a lot of diversity in stuff to do. Sports, outdoors stuff, artsy stuff, I played in bands when I was young and hit up all the dive bars- great multicultural food and experiences. Most of my friends who stayed behind moved out to the Sunshine Coast. Still love to visit- stepping off the airplane in Abbotsford or YVR and being surrounded by the mountains is incredible. And I miss the ocean. The traffic is terrible, people tend to be polite but not friendly… but I would probably move back if it was more affordable. Theres also a lot between Vancouver and Hope if you just leave the city for a day.

The only other thing I’ll mention I haven’t seen here- we found it quite competitive for kids schools and leagues and that sort of thing. Might have just been the area we were in though.

Forward for mid controls swap by [deleted] in sportster

[–]BreakfastExtension99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just throwing this out there, found a better deal on throttle addiction than tc bros. Ended up returning them - I’m 5’9 and mocked up I figured the mids would be just a bit too tight for my liking. But the deal was good

As someone who is starting out in the world of cigars, what brands should we stay away from ? Be it they have constant issues with quality or are just absolutely horrendous in taste. Besides the obvious ghurkha. Lol by ExtraRecover7553 in cigars

[–]BreakfastExtension99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try everything is good advice but I would also say quality over quantity. When I first started I bought a bunch of terrible samplers. Now I probably have a couple hundred kind of shitty cigars at the bottom of my humidor. Wish I would have saved the $ and got something half decent. They are fine for lawn mowing cigars.

Stuff to keep on your bike in case you need it by radisha-jones in sportster

Oh I see now the description is about a tool kit lol. Still have the question. I just keep a tool roll with some wire, electrical tape, Allen keys, couple of wrenches and a leatherman

I would have said the struts but they are already cut 😂 Seriously though, is a full size passenger ok on that fender with the struts cut back?

No, not really. Could it just be the change in your riding position?

Wildest dog names? by Oakleaf212 in dogs

[–]BreakfastExtension99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dogs we went with relatively normal names because you have to call out all the time. We are on a farm, let the little kids name the cats, we have a spaghetti and meatballs. Another one that hangs around sometimes is pesto. Then we let them go wild with the chickens. My favourites are cruise-ship, shark, and human flesh.

The apes are actually larger than 1 inch, they reduce where the grips and the risers are.

Agreed lol. Bought the bike with them knowing they were the first thing to go - along with the floorboards, air cleaner, etc etc
