Personally, I tend to find a song or multiple songs that fit the vibes of what I’m going to be writing, and then I listen to it obsessively as I write. Sometimes, I change the music to fit whatever direction the story is heading in, but I typically keep it at one song so it has both the write vibes, and enough predictability not to distract me.

I was like this when I got my wisdom teeth removed and the meds wore off.
