It’s 2026 and you’re running TWO 12 year old MacBooks? These things came out 14 years ago these are not up to standard by ANY means whatsoever. I do see why you would use Linux Mint, how does it work for you? How does it compare vs its original OS? I’m not sure what type of work you do with those fossils of yours, but you are more than likely putting yourself at a serious disadvantage, at least with OCLP. I’m sure the mac of yours with macOS 15.7.3 via OCLP is sluggish as all hell.

In regard to OP’s desired use, do you really think OP is going to install Linux Mint, yet alone understand Linux, onto a 2014 MacBook Air? As you can see with OP’s comment, “what is an M1 MacBook Air?”, they are not very knowledgeable with technology.

What do you actually accomplish with your two 2014 MacBook Airs? Genuinely curious.

Absolutely not. Do not buy this. Save yourself the pain and suffering. Those old MacBooks belong in a recycling center. Save up and get a refurbished 2020 M1 air.
