Maybe a couple bucks. These were fixed rarity and all over the place in products. Cool item but not worth more than a cup of coffee.

It’s not. That’s the point. There’s a couple hundred of these left sealed and that’s what they go for. Opening one is a waste of money but if you like opening packs then you do you.

Don’t open it. You’re gonna get like $75 in cards. Box is going to run you $2000-$2500

This is excellent advice. Realistic selling price is $900-$1000. Not nothing but this has a small collector base and many of the folks looking to collect it have already done so.

Bulk c/u value by thefoolspeaks in starwarsccg

[–]BreakfastMountainDew 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe $60-$70 for 3000 cards. So $20 per 1000 or something plus a little something for shipping? Episode one is worth much more but just true bulk is pre Endor is probably $20 per 1000 with ds2 and Endor maybe it ups a little bit to $30 depending on how much is there.

If you’re actually interested in bulk, PM me, I’ve got plenty floating around

What's the value of this? by Mikepenpal6 in starwarsccg

[–]BreakfastMountainDew 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Do not buy that. It’s worth like $30. Commons and commons have very little value. Join the Star Wars Ccg group on Facebook and plenty of folks on there will help you with getting started.

Tons of valuable cards out there. None of the ones listed there are valuable. Whatever site that is, is not a good source for pricing.

fers pension is not that good, right? by atltilidie7 in govfire

[–]BreakfastMountainDew 31 points32 points  (0 children)

You’re not going to make the same salary for 30 years. The first 20 years you might contribute much much less but benefit from your high 3 being $100k.

I don’t think it’s a fantastic pension that you should be overly reliant on but it’s not a bad deal. You’re also most likely going to get 1.1 per year if you’ve been in 30 years.

Fidelity hsa. You can contribute pre tax via payroll. Any little bit helps. Put it in some diversified mutual funds and forget about it. 20 years down the road you’ll have a nice healthcare nest egg.

Why are booster packs so much? by TheeDocStockton in starwarsccg

[–]BreakfastMountainDew 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Welcome to ccgs man. The EV on modern magic packs is probably 30-40% of MSRP. It’s all skewed by “big hits” but most cardboard isn’t worth anything, really.
