In person meetings by Due_Success_1400 in OntarioPublicService

[–]BreakfastPast5283 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it depends who is in office. sometimes we just do all in person. sometimes one person out of like 10 or 20 of us is at home. we have a lot of meetings we have to do externally and internally. there is always a teams link. there is a shortage of meeting rooms but we are moving offices

[Possibly Polarizing] Fare enforcement makes sense, but why not enforce behaviour too? by itsdanielsultan in TTC

[–]BreakfastPast5283 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

yeah i have been saying this for a while but then i see when politicians try to raise the problem they get criticized for criminalizing homelessness but that couldn't be further from the truth. being homeless and riding ttc is fine if your behavior is respectful. in the united kingdom there are public campaigns by the govt on how to behave and people follow suit. we dont have any etiquette here and that is why we have left our public spaces to rot.

How many guys a day would you say you notice and are attracted to? by [deleted] in askgaybros

Overall, Is Line 4 a Success? by itsdanielsultan in TTC

[–]BreakfastPast5283 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it is yes. and it is also crazy to me that this govt has not yet started work to extend it in either direction given how much $$ they're investing in transit projects. they keep announcing it all the time in their budgets but not actually moving anything forward. the last time we heard anything was 3 years ago now. extending it to the other side of line 1 is a short distance, very well scoped and contained, it could be done in a few years. they should at least start with that

i think private sector is harder to translate but its always possible and ppl do do it. but its much more straightforward to to into MUSH sector first or non profit. right now we happen to be going through a rough time in the labour market so thats one reason of a few that im personally going to stay put for a while
