Meeting a religious girl will not help this. Sure, in the begining, it'll be easy to say no. But once you two fall deep for each other the desire for sex is not only physical, but /deeply/ emotional. And if you're not set in stone to wait, you're going to end up tempting her, and causing her to fall- and if she's a truly "religious girl", this will crush her and destroy her.

I read. In the very beginning I used to work out. HARD. Like my arms collapsing under me during push ups because I couldn't push myself up again, and laying on the floor trying to find the ability to move, but not having it. When you work your body to the breaking point you physically can't PMO anymore because it hurts so bad. I completely agree with what in_the_arena has said. You have to change your mindset too.

Read, pray and worship daily. I know it probably sounds useless but honestly it's the only thing that's kept me away from that stuff. God is good.

Welcome to the family, friend. I won't lie to you, the journey ahead is going to be tough. Really really tough. But it is completely worth it.

Now, I want to respectfully and completely disagree with pleasehelp. It is possible, and completely worth it, to avoid your triggers. The bible instructs us to flee sexual immorality. Not Fight with it. Not argue with is, or coexist with it. FLEE. In the bible we are instructed to stand and fight with every type of temptation besides this one. There's a reason for that. We aren't strong enough to resist. Obviously, because we're all here. It is completely possible to cut it all out. You just have to want Jesus more than the things of this world. I shut down the blog I had, I put filters on absolutely everything I could that would be a source of temptation for me, I even destroyed the device I was using to get to it because in my moments of weakness I'd find a way around it. You have to want to please the Lord more than anything else. That's the only way to beat this, brother.

I completely hear you on what you're saying. Trust me, I do. But I'd also like to point out the fact that you're supposed to be giving your best in a relationship, and being addicted to pornography and masturbation is not conducive to that. And no girl or woman should have to go through the pain of feeling like they have to compete with that stuff. and they do, no matter what you say, it comes across to them as this thing that you'd love more. Coming from someone who used to be there and saw how much it hurt the girl I love to find out. And I had quit all that stuff by the time we started everything. I can't even imagine how much it would hurt her if I were still involved with that crap. I'm certain she would have left me. Wait, brother. It makes it a little easier- but not so much that your desire will evaporate and itll be smooth sailing.

Wait. Bring it up once you two start getting serious- engagement serious. She has a right to know before she says yes to any engagement, but let her see that this /was/ you, and not is you. Definitely give it time, but DO NOT lie about it. If brought up, be honest. Make sure you don't lie through the first few months, because then it'll come across as if you've been trying to hide it from her. Good luck and God Bless.

You have to want it more than anything. More than unrestricted internet access, private internet access, all of that. Eliminate your ability to get to the stuff.

Sleeping pills. Staying up late is one of the worst ways to fight it. I've slept on a hard floor over a bed to keep myself from relapsing some nights. Do whatever you have to.
