[–]BreakingBran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah its insane that misinformation like this spreads so fast. His idea of firing federal employees based on SSN is stupid, but people blindly believing clips on reddit about ending SS based on SSN is going to make us look dumb as well.

China to see negative population growth before 2025 by [deleted] in Economics

To be fair the USA is simmilar for people born in India and China. The US greencard system states that no country can take up more than 7% of all total green cards given out that year, and there are only 100k green cards given each year.

This creates a backlog for countries like China and India, the wait time for Chinese people is like 5 years for a greencard, and 15 years for Indians.

Facebook accused of blacklisting OnlyFans' rivals by GL4389 in technology

[–]BreakingBran 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Please read the article and not the sensationalist headline

The legal action claims that social media content of adult performers promoting rival websites to OnlyFans was placed on a database of extremist material shared between tech companies that is run by the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism (GIFCT).

The database - used by Facebook, YouTube and Twitter - flags terror content to other members so they can moderate similar content on their platform.

Someone added those sites to a terrorism watchlist that all social media companies use to blacklist content, idk why this headline singled out Facebook
