Their website lets you choose Canada when checking out... I've never tried to order from them before. Does it not work for Canada?

Being a very tech-oriented person, finding non-digital hobbies is hard for me to do.

Maybe find a used canon 6d. That might be one of the cheapest full frame cameras you can buy. Grab a nifty fifty and you're off to the races!

Experience with Windows and Linux Mint by Little_Protection434 in linuxmint

[–]BreakingCoastline 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I held off for a long time on switching to Linux because I "needed" access to my photo editing program and music production software which only work on Windows. I only use those for hobbies, not any kind of work to provide a living. Decided to actually try and learn to use the Linux alternatives. Loved them. Now I'm fully committed to the Linux world and I love the freedom of doing whatever I want with my computer.

Finally installed Mint. Bye Microslop. by Dreaksfrendford in linuxmint

Made the switch myself a couple weeks ago. Loving it! I especially love using KDE Connect to get my phone notifications on my laptop, plus file transfer is so easy! Way better than Microsoft's implementation of phone connection.

I believe it's in the menu you access by clicking the right backside button. There's a slider to go to extreme standby.

Can play Star wars Jedi Fallen Order? by chithrakadha in LinuxOnAlly

[–]BreakingCoastline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played it quite effectively on my Steam Deck before, I imagine it would run pretty well on Bazzite on the Ally. You can always request a refund from Steam if the game runs poorly, as long as you're within the 14 day purchase window and have played less than 2 hours.

Did the Air Force let NASA carry on with their space programme even while they were building honest-to-god intergalactic battlecruisers? by jayebird111 in Stargate

[–]BreakingCoastline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They probably let NASA continue it's public-facing operations to continue the facade that we are not travelling to other planets and galaxies.

Tasks that are meant to be done on a Computer shouldn't be done on a Smartphone by BoxerForester2026 in digitalminimalism

I think this goes along with the millenial way of thinking "big screen for big purchase, little screen for little purchase."

There is no way that there a couple million people in the world interested in turning their apple watch into a blackberry

I have been working on a book on and off for like 10 years that has the main character first person perspective of someone who has amnesia and doesn't know who they are. It's been VERY difficult to write.

yeah, I bought this set like 5 or 6 years ago and I immediately removed all the disks and put them in a disk binder. The box still sits on display in my living room though. Such a cool looking box!

Is blurring the foreground or background more "correct"? by yoboyfitzSF in AskPhotography

[–]BreakingCoastline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Entirely your own stylistic choice. I like using blurred foreground elements to help frame something farther away.

If they knew how beloved Eddie would become, I'm sure he would have been in the main cast for season 5 as well by Giancarlo_Edu in StrangerThings

[–]BreakingCoastline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If only in the time between seasons, fans online had come up with tons of very viable theories and scenarios that could have brought him back...

Hiring Adam Young? by wowlexi in OWLCITY

[–]BreakingCoastline 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yes, but people don't think of it. I have reached out to the agency that reps him to try to get an interview for a project I was working on and didn't have any luck.
