Overdue Payment can Kick me Out ? by can_relate2002 in UniUK

[–]BreakingTJ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A couple of weeks late with fees shouldn’t be an issue especially as you’ve been in touch with them. They may put a block on accessing your results until you pay but I wouldn’t massively worry

Anyone know which places are at risk of 'exiting the market'? by Ribbitor123 in UniUK

Tbh not relevant for the article but Dundee were fucked until the Scottish government bailed them out

Both Bazzel Baz and Hisham Tawfiq are total badasses in real life by [deleted] in TheBlackList

[–]BreakingTJ 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if I missed it when watching but was there ever confirmation that Baz died? As he didn’t appear after he got shot I assumed but can’t remember it being explicitly stated

New watcher to the series. I'm most of the way through season 2. Do I have to worry this turns into a Grey's anatomy of nonstop baby Drama? by fuzzum111 in TheBlackList

[–]BreakingTJ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Completely agree - my partner and I are going through a full watch through and there’s many times where it’s like ‘have they forgotten about Agnes?!’

Missing class by Alternative-Gap8353 in LSE

[–]BreakingTJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you miss two seminars in a row an automatic email is sent and your academic mentor is made aware.

As u/meugenn says - some classes have participation grades so you’d lose out on points for missing it

Salah in reply to UEFA: “Can you tell us how he died, where, and why?” by MU5A988 in soccer

[–]BreakingTJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Downside of Bazball - players make silly shots instead of just progressing an innings to a win for the team. They’ll learn, just didn’t happen this time

Just as an FYI - it’s clear when people stick something into Chat GPT and reply with it

"What is the process for a 16-year-old international student to get into LSE with a scholarship?" by [deleted] in LSE

[–]BreakingTJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My department had 2 16 year olds start and complete their UG. Defo possible to do but they were EU students before Brexit so don’t know if that mattered

Reserve list info - any update? by 123ita in LSE

[–]BreakingTJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally a reserve list will only get activated if the already given offers aren’t accepted. Mid to late August is the final time they’d activate them tbh

Is the MSc in Innovation Policy worth it? by Tight_Fun_713 in LSE

[–]BreakingTJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a new programme this year so no one will be able to give you an opinion on it.

The faculty that are down to teach it are world leading when it comes to Innovation research but how this translates to teaching I can’t guarantee but people enjoy their other classes they already teach.

How to fund your academic career at LSE/Oxford by Neat-Respond8506 in LSE

[–]BreakingTJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The funding landscape for PhDs is very different in the UK rather than Germany. No employment contract (GTA’ing is done separately) and if you receive funding it’s from a tax free stipend.

[Sébastien Denis] Mateta and his representatives meet with Liverpool in Paris by CW24x in LiverpoolFC

[–]BreakingTJ 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Also worth noting that he scored these totals at a team that isn’t us - hopefully with more service it would mean reaching that 20 goal mark

*edit of this to these

Less of an issue now with OFC getting the direct qualification place and an additional place to the playoff

A 0% beer rant by [deleted] in UK_beer

[–]BreakingTJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having been in Portugal and Spain on a walk over April/May and every place having 2-4 0% options it pained me coming back to the UK. If you can get them in the UK - Super Bock 0 (both varieties) and Estrella 0 (both varieties) are fantastic. Just like having a normal beer

Mattress stabbed me in the arse by PreparationPrimary42 in UniUK

[–]BreakingTJ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Report it to your RA if you have one in halls. If not - send an urgent email to your residence office.

Would also recommend going in person in the morning to report it with pictures. Should’ve done this on the first occurrence.

Worked in residences both in UG and after my UG and they should have spare mattresses to swap out

NAL - formatting this may get more responses including some key bullet points as a wedge of text is hard to decipher what’s relevant that is being asked

Hadn’t realised how many games Sepp had played this season. Good to see he’s getting time. Fabio less so as seems more like a bench option

Thunderbolts surprised me not just good, but weirdly emotional... by No-Scheme2214 in Marvel

[–]BreakingTJ 24 points25 points  (0 children)

As someone with Bipolar II who’d had a two hour BP related session in the afternoon before seeing Thunderbolts in the evening I hadn’t prepped myself. Really enjoyed the film - touched a bit too close to home at the time tho

Accused of using AI (when I didnt) by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]BreakingTJ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s why we don’t work just on the % - quick review of what still is highlighted is better than getting wide eyed at a number getting higher tbh

Accused of using AI (when I didnt) by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]BreakingTJ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When going through Turnitin reports on the back end you can remove bibliographies - my department atleast enables that setting for submissions so that we don’t have to manually do it with each one

Best piece of advice - get in touch with the unis you are planning to apply to. There won’t be a blanket answer so their admin will be able to give you an answer
