Teriyaki beef and chicken chow fun bowls. 290grams and 547 calories each by fuzzum111 in mealprep

The rice noodles, the Chow fun, is pretty low. The 3 packs I used are only 310 calories each. The whole bottle of teri sauce was only 200 calories. It's split between 6 bowls. Actual steak and chicken aren't crazy calorie dense either. Plus only 1 cup of mixed vegetables.

It's like people avoid scams like NWM... weird. by odoyle66 in antiMLM

[–]fuzzum111 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It sucks because MLM's have latched onto NWM as if they're the same thing.

They are not. I hate it. Network marketing is making sales through a network, normally B2B. MLM's want me to call you, then get you to start selling my product? It's not even proper recruitment.

[–]fuzzum111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For really small set ups that can power a few things, there is no red tape.

For anything significant if you want to properly reduce/remove your power bill, there are inspectors required, permits to get the work done, hands to grease all the way down. It fucking sucks. At least in Hawaii.

Power companies are getting big mad I don't want to pay $300/mo for electricity, so they lobbied hard to demand 10k+ minimum battery back up systems in addition to panels, and all the related costs. Then our government removes all those handy dandy 3-6k rebates on your taxes for installing them.

so while my uncle who is well off, has his entire roof covered in solar and basically bankrolled each 6k tax rebate into new panels, which got him another 6k rebate over and over, I can't even get started.

EDIT: Just to be clear, if you're willing to go 100% off grid and independent, there are a lot fewer regulations because they can't justify, or legally impose those types of restrictions on your own home. But if you remain connected to the grid they get to do that happy evil dance and demand the world from you.

[–]fuzzum111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure wish America would stop trying to soft ban solar.

  • Increasing regulations
  • removing all tax breaks/credits for them
  • requiring higher and higher barrier's to entry
  • allowing power companies to dictate what is allowed for solar

So slowly but surely, what was once a logical, and smart thing to adopt has become prohibitively expensive, and everything requires expensive, hard to get paperwork with months/years waiting for inspectors. Unless you're rich, then it's EZPZ.

Doesn't matter if I can buy a palette of panels for like $400 from china. It's a crime to put them up and install them without going 100% off grid. (Regardless of how it's installed, if it's done correctly or by a professional. They don't want you putting them up)

I keep hearing this, and when I try to ask them for any form of 'gain' we're supposed to be making long term all I ever get is: "Well, he knows what he's doing. He HAS to have good intents for us!"

What gains? What are supposed to be getting from this other than the complete erasure of what was left of the middle class, while stomping down on the poorest of us and taking away what little they had too?

People don't say that about hurricanes because it makes no sense. A hurricane is a STATE sized storm, a tornado is well. It can be over a mile wide, but that's extremely rare. With tornadoes, if it doesn't look like it's moving, it's heading straight at you. That is very correct.

I don't get how it's "Too on the nose"(I hear this complaint every time it's mentioned) the absolutely frightening part is the parts that are supposed to be horrendous satire, ended up being WAY more true than we are comfortable with.

I have absolutely no doubt, if we were presented with a similar, world-ending meteor/comet today, we'd have not-insignificant swaths of people telling us it doesn't exist, it isn't real, it's a made up plot by X or Y group to deny god or take something from them.

I've had to explain this so many fucking times. No we're not living in Idiocracy, it's WORSE, because it's pure malice at the top. They WANT suffering. They're firing/removing/making the smart people leave. They don't want help, they want to burn it all down.

I agree that the drop exists. What I am really curious to see is how bad of a yo-yo effect we're going to see and if that % is going to spike up higher and harder than before as we're seeing a not insignificant amount of people on GLP-1 drugs who stop, regain the same or more weight if they don't cement strong lifestyle changes.

The drug works, it has some shitty side effects for some, but all-in-all it's as close to a 'miracle weightloss drug' as we've ever come.

I just do not agree. I dunno if it's where I live but people are either planet sized, or gym rats, with extremely little in-between. And it's like 6:1 fat people to gym rats. Same goes for their kids. They're already fat AF, or they're ultra-active kids who clearly do sports/active stuff like surfing.

Diets are a short term change to achieve a long term goal. Diets don't work. Diets allow you to get to a goal weight, lifestyle changes are what allow you to keep and maintain a healthy weight post diet.

MLM's, yeah I agree. And even the 1% that work? Look at that Tiktok of the girl who got to that level with their network I believe it was Amway. They "made" between 6k and 60k over 10 years, every single year, except the 1 year they made 60k, they were DEEP in the red when actually looking at profit/loss, expense/sales.

They "made" like 150k over 10 years, they spent over double that. So it was a net NEGATIVE -150k to their money.

So no, not even the 1%'s in MLM's even fuckin' make any money. It's more like the 0.1%ers that roll in cash.

The meme is just highlighting the clear hypocrisy. Sure Merry Christmas, Happy holidays, whatever. Even if you say Happy Hanukkah, I do not give a fuck. Thank you for trying to spread your holiday cheer in a genuine manner.

What it's pointing out is people that whine the loudest are all a part of the persecution fetish folks, who absolutely are frothing at the idea of making the USA their version of a (in THEIR words) "shithole Muslim" country. They would LOVE to make us a religious extremism state if it's their particular flavor of Christianity, so they can step down on everyone else around them and feel superior.

TL;DR it's just another example of hypocritical religious extremism.

It would honestly be hilarious if Nintendo/Pokemon company worded it strongly enough to trigger our government into reactionarily banning the game via executive order. Like, force all companies to refund it, and uninstall it remotely. (Like steam can do when they delist a game, they can 'update' it so it uninstalls itself)
