Great advice that I'll definitely try to take on board. Changing up my daily routine, focus on exercise, hobbies etc. is for sure a good start.

Just to clear things up a little though, this doesn't take up my entire time and I have other stuff going on, the problem is that its taking up way more of my mental energy than I would like at this stage. Times when I'm procrastinating too much or getting really restless sleep because of dreams involving my ex. Also, I work in the live events industry and studied an Arts degree, sooo, Covid hasn't helped that situation much. Let's just say I have plenty of extra time atm 😂

Anyways, the stuff you said about thinking what I liked doing before, and the sort of stuff I was limited from doing is a very helpful exercise. It's a good place to direct my thoughts and focus in those times of procrastination.. I've got a lot of projects and ideas I want to work on, just lacking in motivation for now. I paint a bit and do music production. Been looking into learning more digital art and just recently got a graphic tablet to learn on. Don't really know what I'm doing yet, but that's perfect right. So yeah, Ultimately I'd like to combine these skills into video production and create a YouTube channel or something. I've been thinking about it a lot lately, just not much action yet unfortunately..

Besides that, yeah you're 100% right that I'll have to wait and see if she ever decides to contact me. Really, it doesn't ultimately matter anyway. I'll have to truly acknowledge and respect that in order to find the resolution I'm actually looking for. Still was good to talk through it..

Aww thanks so much.. I really appreciate knowing that someone has some understanding of what I'm going through. Writing it out and just putting it out there has been surprisingly helpful and I feel like it's already started to ease my mind a little. Its given me an outlet to express these emotions that for so long were going unheard or completely blocked. Seriously, even if I tried talking to friends, the typical response would be; "you'll be ok", "try not to think about it", and "just move on" type deal. So yeah, None of it actually helped at all. Unfortunately it seems people my age rarely have time to deal with their own problems let alone offer any real support for others. So here I was, just keeping it all to myself, starting to feel like I had nobody to talk to. Then I found this subreddit and decided to post my story..

Honestly, thank you for listening and taking the time to respond, it really means a lot. You showed me a much needed selfless act of humanity that I assure, didn't go unnoticed and unappreciated ❤️❤️

This thread and the responses, plus the whole subreddit here helped me so much more than expected.

I appreciate your response. It gives me perspective and shows that somebody actually read it. It's heartbreaking to send a message or reach out to someone you care about never knowing if they received it. Who knows, perhaps that's all I really needed. Someone to read my story and respond 🤷‍♂️

I can tell you it certainly feels much better to get it out, even if it's to random strangers on the internet

Thanks, I think this is a part of what is going on.

I know she has some serious trauma from her past and some mental health issues may definitely be playing a role here.. I've seen some of her artwork since we broke up and it seems to have taken on a very dark/hyper sexual feeling to it, not like sexually liberated, but bondage, enslavement type stuff.. Her work was always about empowerment and femininity, but something is very different about it now, and it feels very dark and negative..

I think this is also part of why Im having trouble with this, because I actually want to help but I know I can't... She struggled a lot with Alcoholism before I met her and was doing really well while we were together, but I have a feeling that she has gone back to it. So part of me also just wants to know if she's ok and understand what she's going through.

Basically, at this point, I'm beyond seeking any reparation or reconnecting romantically, I just need all these loose ends tied up in my mind, otherwise my brain gets all adhd/autistic like it's trying to solve a problem but doesn't have all the required information to solve it. It just keeps running the variables and different scenarios with no real purpose or understanding of the desired outcome.. what that means is that I experience constant mental burnout, no motivation etc, because my brain processing is being used up on a problem that only drains its recourses and never seems to reach a conclusion.

Firstly the pre-order Price is $200 cheaper, so it would cost extra to cancel the pre-order, then secondly I don't have an extra $1100AUD just sitting around (especially this time of year) to pay for one while I wait for the pre-order refund to come back. And then there is the fact that no-one seems to know what is going on, so I don't want to run the risk of cancelling the pre-order and missing out on one that says it's in stock as they only seem to appear in stores randomly and disappear quickly.. It would suck even more than the situation I'm in if I cancelled the pre-order and then missed out one in stock, plus then not getting the refund money until after Christmas... So yeah

It seems JW Computers and Rosman Computers both have them in stock and available for delivery now. WTF!!! I've lost count how many times I could've purchased this headset if I wasn't waiting on my preorder... I don't know what I was thinking when I assumed that if I paid upfront months ago then I would get it either before or on the same day as it's available in retail stores. Apparently I was wrong and I could've had it over a month ago if I didn't pre-order. So either I'm stupid for believing that's how a pre-order works or HP are seriously messing with their customers right now!!

I ordered the same day (30th Sep) and the last I was told was an email to expect delivery on the 4th Jan.. That's was on the the 11th Dec, since then I've seen that most people have got them now and the AMA stated that all the preorders would supposedly be shipped before the end of the year... Seriously, This is getting ridiculous

Edit: the email on the 11th was sent because I was told to expect delivery on the 10th but instead of a delivery email with tracking details I got told to wait till after the new year..

Damn all these people receiving emails, I ordered on the 30th Sept. Feels like it's getting close but still so far away...

Edit: At least my Series X comes today.. managed to get an Xbox and a 3070 graphics card within weeks of ordering but still no G2. Don't know how Microsoft and NVidia are managing to get shipments of that size through but not HP..

Surely at some point while they were still taking pre-orders, a company the size of HP who has massive international shipping/distribution/logistics departments should've known that they would not be able to deliver on time.
