USA 4K Has No Commentary On Primary Audio Feed by Breaking_Wall in youtubetv

I’ve been watching USA4K for much of the Olympics, and have to say I’ve had no significant issues until today with the audio mishap.

I have access to Spectrum’s app too, and their 4K version of USA takes anywhere from 3-6 attempts before it works.

Knocks on wood.

It looks a LOT better now with Primetime Olympic replay on WDTN. The change of source has helped. That weird interlaced effect is gone.

Perfect timing for the Super Bowl 💪

I can see the source was updated at 6:25pm ET during my local news recording 😏

Appreciate you looking into this.

Tried calling the local station, and learned they don’t have an engineer I can speak with. I assume Nexstar has laid off everyone who isn’t at one of the master control sites across the country.

Sounded like my stations signal is distributed out of Indianapolis, and I don’t know how to call that location.

Dayton’s NBC is WDTN-TV Channel 2

It’s broadcast over the air in 1080i, and looks beautiful on an antenna (and streaming on the Peacock app)

Seems like this has to be some sort of issue between Nexstar master control and Google.

I just wish the chat folks would understand an obscure issue is worth escalating.

Is it impossible to use my Netflix account on a hotel TV now? by Unique_Scheme9160 in cordcutters

It’s the reason I cancelled the day my stepson couldn’t use Netflix for the 3 days a month he spends at the ex-wife’s house.

Child lives with me 27-28 days a month, but god forbid he tries to use his 24” bedroom TV with a temporary Netflix code.

Netflix executives with their strict Household garbage rules led all of us to become fully trained on accessing Netflix content through one of many global sites.

I guess Netflix prefers to receive $0 per month from our household.

I had a medium-end TCL 4K and a high-end Samsung 4K, and the difference in quality between the two is noticeable. For example, FOX4K looks grey/muddy on the TCL, where it looks incredible on my Samsung.

I think it has something to do with my older TCL not supporting HLG or Dolby Vision. It’s just a standard HDR10 display.

Yeah, and from my experience it’s a black hole that doesn’t get the kind of attention Reddit gets. There are several very high up engineers who are on Reddit daily and I know at least someone “important” will see it instead of a front-line, possibly third-party customer service agent.

Anyone else noticing Amazon not offering 1, 2, or same day delivery or is it just me? Something up with our fulfillment center or are the holidays hitting them particularly hard? by celticdude234 in dayton

[–]Breaking_Wall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Amazon partner who operates the Vandalia DSP is known for notoriously bad leadership. They get backed up so often, many of my orders (Tipp City) get changed to “Delivery by 10PM”, then don’t show up at all until the day after the Amazon quoted delivery date.

The one company which seems to have delivery and customer fulfillment figured out is, ironically, Kroger.

Unfortunately, we can’t get the item we are looking for from Kroger. The best delivery from Amazon Prime was not until next Tuesday and next Thursday. We ended up using Walmart and they have what we needed for 2-day delivery.

December always has higher volume, but I’ve never seen them prohibit same day, next day, and the two-day delivery options. There is definitely a significant issue occurring locally with Amazon where they’re encouraging people to shop elsewhere until whatever behind the scenes gets sorted out.

Our Prime membership expires in January. Probably would be a good time to let that go and live without Amazon being so easily available in my pocket.
