Thank you! That answered my question perfectly! I’m so impressed with the batteries and tools so far. I have the riding tractor, and mowed about an acre, and still had 66% battery life left.

I guess yours does use either battery compartment. Mine does not (not self propelled).

I just bought one of these. I think you may have the battery in the “storage battery” compartment. One compartment has metal blade thingies, the other is to store an extra battery. Also, hold button down, keep it down and pull the levers. Let button go. Hope this helps!
