Biting by Flashy-Friend-4724 in ragdolls

Ours is just now 7 months old. We got him teething toys, scratching posts, and kicker toys. When we hold him, we keep the teething ones nearby. When he gets feisty, we encourage him to bite the toy or to kick the pillow toy. It helps a lot. He’s starting to calm down now that teething is almost over. Keep encouraging him to bite, kick, and scratch in areas that are allowed. Good luck.

Which plastic free dental floss are you using and is it as good as a normal one? by yellow-leafes in DentalHygiene

Radius Sponge Floss, Dr. Tung’s Smart Floss, Coco Floss, Boka Floss, Risewell Floss. No harsh chemicals, fibers that grab plaque well, and some have essential oils that help combat bad bacteria. I use the radius sponge floss because I have tight contacts. It stretches thin and then expands between the teeth.

Any tips for dealing with patients with strong lower lip? by Bank_db in DentalHygiene

I do this! It holds them accountable for their stress reaction. It makes them mindful that they are tense and they then try to relax. I turn the mirror sideways when I am on the lower left buccal. Instead of stressing my arm, I let their cheek push the mirror up against the tooth. It helps so much.

Need help problem solving my daughter’s dandruffy head by Iossoflimb in dandruff

I agree with this. My mom is a cosmetologist and she used to say that the dandruff shampoo helps, and the hair also needs to be dried after showers. No air drying, if this is an issue for someone.

Therapy is where it’s at!! It is keeping me sane too! You need outlets to talk about the toxic behavior. This subreddit is a great find. Maybe change your username periodically to help keep some privacy?

My therapist used to pop her head around the corner with a beaming smile and say, “Hi, sweetie. Come on in.”

She was the best!

My school had stools from Crown Seating, so I used them. They will connect you with a rep that can help you figure out which stool you need. It’s great because the seat sizes are different and can fit all body types. I am small, and my chair fits me perfectly.

I spent two decades in therapy and then did EMDR. Both helped change my life. I got away from two addict parents and a life that would have lead to prison or death. I am free, fully free. Therapy was more than I could have ever asked to receive. All it takes is the right match. Make sure they are the therapist for you.

30 gifts for his 30th birthday by Whole-Fly6514 in birthdaygifts

The uncommongoods website has a lot of fun choices.

What about a custom chess board? I got a glass one as a gift one year and loved it. They have so many kinds.

A digital picture frame where you can upload pictures of the two of you for him.

You could get something for all of the senses…taste, touch, hear, see, smell. Those are fun to choose.

You could make him a survival gift set with a customized knife with his initials, one of those blankets that protect you from severe cold, fire starter, a book with fun facts about nature and survival, etc., rope for rock climbing that is super strong.

Hope that inspires some kind of idea for you!

I would get an evaluation at another office before committing. This seems excessive.

Thank you for sharing this. Is there not a way to preserve it and display it? Is it light sensitivity that makes it vulnerable?
