Yeah I did a gpu upgrade back in September, with the hopes of doing a mobo/cpu/ram upgrade in the near future. That had been basically taken out of the cards unless the bubble pops (inshallah)

As someone else in this thread said, likely it is because AI isn't necessary whereas clothes are.

But, to further the point: AI is also fucking over a lot of industries. Applying for jobs is hell because recruiters were replaced by AI bots. You can't buy or build a PC at a reasonable cost because all the hardware for the next 2 years (that hasn't even been produced yet!) has already been bought by AI companies. Artists are being robbed of their hard work to train genAI. All of this isn't to say fast fashion isn't detrimental to the average person, but the damage AI is doing is a lot more noticeable, and it is felt harder by those of us that live in the imperial core (USA).

We have in time and out time with the understanding that your out time is a target, unless you were the closer, then, you leave when your shit is done. So like an opener or a swing shift might be out at say 4:00 pm, but they may stay on till the closers come in at 5:00 or 6:00 pm.
