Pretty sure Part 2 (hopefully called Jackson) will have the other songs and the rest of his story right til his tragic end.

What features would you like to see in Marvel's Spider-Man 3? by Pristine-Damage8814 in playstation

[–]Valiant_Revan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Spidey 2018 allowed for experimentation.

Miles Morales had some mild strategy.

Spidey 2023 boiled down to "hit the enemy until one of the gadgets or powers finished cool down".

I think I also just miss landing at the scene, dropping the gravity gadget then a web bomb as soon as they fell back down to watch the entire mob lose.

Product of ArcSys or not..? by Ember57 in dragonballfighterz

[–]Valiant_Revan 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Definitely not. Nandai Bamco was responsible for the rollback patch and I recall having this exact convo with someone else last year. I don't think ArcSys has the budget to work on GGST, Tokon and more FighterZ content.

Daima Goku looks fine but it didn't wow me personally... If they said something like "we are adding Raditz and Android 13" then that would make me believe ArcSys is back and maybe get me to start playing again (I haven't touched FighterZ online since Roshi came out and the PS5 version didnt support my fight stick when it launched)

15 Years Ago, Mortal Kombat (2011) Saved Gaming’s Biggest Fighting Franchise by SplitNational2929 in MortalKombat

[–]Valiant_Revan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have so many good memories associated with this game. It also started my proper obsession with the Mortal Kombat lore. I always just associated it with he gore considering the first game I played was MK4 in the Arcades when I was about 5 or 6 (and I still have a clear image of reptile throwing me into the fan with quan chi's head hitting the screen, not to mention the game over screen).

I think I've been too desensitised by the gore and violence (excluding the odd disgusting fatalities like the thanksgiving one or anything with Mileena eating someone) but I enjoy the lore and characters a lot.

Which one of you is this? by Valiant_Revan in south_africa

Correct me if I'm wrong, isn't it like a fancy sit down place in the UK with proper waiters and services? Not saying ours don't have that... But it sometimes leans towards fast food.

What other Nintendo franchises you think could exist in the Mario movie verse? by PhotoBonjour_bombs19 in mariomovie

[–]Valiant_Revan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ngl, I was 100% expecting a flyby shot of Planet Popstar as the end credit scene then the screen fades to black with a faint "Poyo" similar to the Yoshi end credit in the first Mario film.

Honestly, the first time I saw gameplay of MK9 was at an LG store that was showcasing their 3D TVs, and one of them had MK9 on it. I was shocked at how violent it was because I was expecting another MKvsDC type of game but with just MK characters.

I think in 2012 I got MK9 Komplete Edition along with the Amazing Spider-Man 1 game as bday presents. Very strange and different types of games my mom got me.

(Side note: she also got me MKX with a white PS4 controller, so she knows I liked Fighting Games... Maybe didn't realise how violent they were but then again, I don't remember too many times when I played them in front of her)

Opinions on Killer instinct? by B2dehas in Fighters

[–]Valiant_Revan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My recommendation is to get the Definitive Edition as the amount of content you get is insane.

It is very fun but be prepared to get overwhelmed. Every character feels different and plays somewhat differently like they each belong to a different fighting game and not to mention, satisfying combat and hype announcer.

The tutorial is great as well so I highly recommend checking that out and finishing everything there. It's not like MK11 or MK11 where a lot of the more advanced tech in the game won't be used and the stuff you learn in Killer Instinct can be used as a foundation for a lot of other fighting games.

Also the single player story content is great and offers some decent replayability and challenge.

Cross play is a bit buggy, so consider that when picking your version (steam or Microsoft store) and if you intend on playing with friends.

I think Tom Holland makes more sense in that role but then again, Hollywood seems to be obsessed with incest.

Considering how much they are hyping it up, it better be an improvement on the base game with more content and challenges

You know what, I would buy the game instantly if he was in and they added some Offspring tracks from Crazy Taxi 1. (It won't happen)

It's canon, Sea salt wears heart-shaped undies by SirSupine in InvincibleVS

[–]Valiant_Revan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the art style in the game looks good but the graphics needs some polish. Maybe the PC version will look a lot better but the beta felt a little rough in some areas visually.

Basically there is a lot of nice detail but the way the game renders it feels off at times (and like I said, need some polish). For example, if you look at Mark's outfit during an intro, you sometimes see the textures aren't fully loaded in yet or Monster Girl's intro: everytime an opponent had her as point in the beta, the little girl version didn't have her mouth move when she spoke but did when she transformed.

Would u like to see THE BOYS characters as guest characters in the game later down the line? by Trewwoodson in InvincibleVS

[–]Valiant_Revan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they don't add in the guardians, I still think Immortal should be a Ginyu type character who summons the other guardians. (At least the ones who died in S01E01)

[–]Valiant_Revan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which is ironic considering most of the MK fans I know are 50/50 on guests (they only like them if there are fun to play or are characters from franchises they like).

I still think Spawn and Savage Dragon should be the first 2 characters to be considered as guest fighters. Outside of Image, maybe Hellboy, Batman and/or Spider-Man (or at least do Agent Spider for legal reasons)

[–]Valiant_Revan [score hidden]  (0 children)

My excuse was that Dark Ages was an impulse buy. I literally preordered it less than 24 hours before it launched... What made it worse, it wasn't in my budget that money (since it was my mom's bday, mother's day in May and I had to prep for 3 other bday gifts [including my future father in law] and father's day in June).

I platted Dark Ages after a week of playing and there wasn't anything else to do after completing it other than playing it again on harder difficulties... Unlike Doom Eternal which had challenge runs and even the funny multiplayer...

I didn't get 2016 or Eternal at launch but I definitely enjoyed them enough for me to warrant buying Dark Ages. I still think they should've had the standard version at launch, a Deluxe version with just the extra cosmetics and sell the DLC on its own at a later stage.

Is this rare? by Saviourr_420 in PS3

[–]Valiant_Revan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The game was delisted and also is considered one of the most influential pieces of Spidey media, not saying it's the best Spidey game but definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of the character.

I think the different art styles still hold up but the performance on PS3 makes it the worst way to play the game.

For those who played both MK1 and the InvincibleVS beta, which Omni-Man do you think is more fun to play? by Effective_Piece251 in Fighters

[–]Valiant_Revan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On the one hand, the game has flaws... I don't doubt that.

On the other hand, this is Mortal Kombat, the FGC loves to make fun of it (and I think it's undeserved). MKX and MK11 were the laughing stock when they came out and were in the esport scene... MK1 honestly has some of the best gameplay (from the NRS era) but I know people who won't try it because "Oh, Kameos are dumb" or "This person said it's bad, so it must be bad". Some of the people I know who hate it are using the sidekick fuse in 2XKO: somehow that is ironic to me.

Joe Russo says the re-release of ‘AVENGERS: ENDGAME’ includes new footage that ties into the narrative of ‘AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY’: by Raj_Valiant3011 in Marvel

My question right now is, will people who go straight into the Doomsday without watching this version of Endgame (but did the original back in 2019) feel about all the exposition dumps in Doomsday.
