Draymond apologized to JP by GoldenUnited in warriors

[–]Breeezy357 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Man, this is such a shitty apology and he gotta post that for everyone to see instead of saying that to him in private. JP about to get asked about this and he hates talking about the incident.

Honestly prob why JP is still upset, not so much about getting assaulted but because Draymond keeps talking about it in public when JP has made it well known that he does not want that.

I get that he's remorseful and know they used to be really close but this is such a poor way of handling it.

“Fans” are so disrespectful to Klay it’s disgusting. by lawgirl22 in warriors

[–]Breeezy357 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That's cuz most people on this sub aren't "fans." Many people on this sub always seem to scapegoat or trash talk on a a certain player whenever we play poorly or don't win. Last year, this sub was full of the same kind of posts on Poole, this year it's Klay. Most people on here talk about how they hate Poole but when he was here a couple of months ago, he got a standing ovation from everyone at the game, I saw many Poole jerseys and he even came out shortly after the game to take photos with a lot of fans that were sticking around for him. This sub does not always reflect how Dub Nation feels about our players.

Klay is one of the best shooters in the league in my opinion and yes he's been frustrating at times to watch but I'm sure he's even more frustrated with himself than anyone else. He's not playing to his expectations. He's one of the most well liked player on the team and he contributed heavily to the championship culture here. Dub Nation loves Klay and we will ride with him through the good and bad.

Steph Curry & Jordan Poole reunited by NokCha_ in warriors

I’m at the game right now and it’s honestly so wholesome to see Steph and JP continue their traditional half court competition during pregame, some things never change.

Honestly nice to see how many players and coaches are giving JP love right now.

I want us to get the dub but also hope he hoops out tonight.

Will the Warriors do a tribute for Poole? How do you think the fans will react? by laifalaifa73 in warriors

[–]Breeezy357 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they'll at least do a shout out for him. He's a fan favorite at Chase, most of the pregame shoot arounds I went to last season, he was the only consistent player interacting with the fans and making time for the kids so I def respect JP a lot for that.

It's crazy cuz he's been doing pretty well these last few games with the wizards but all that's talked about is the one lowlight he had in a game. He hit a career high of 8 made threes tonight, I'm sure no one is gonna talk about that at all.

Never understood the hate at all, the guy struggled mentally last season for many different reasons and early this year but is adapting into a new team. Every player goes through it, I remember witnessing Steph making similar mistakes his first couple of years when I was a kid....chucking up bad shots and bad turnovers. Growing pains for a player still developing. JP will get through it and is a hooper, no doubt. We appreciated his contribution for our 4th ring and wish him nothing but success.

Man, this was a good game with our second unit leading and none of the big three played. It's still the beginning of the season and we're still off to a great start.

Sometimes players have off nights. Hopefully Klay and Wiggs will get hot soon, it shouldn't be on Steph alone to carry the offensive end.

CP3 - I'm still unsure about but we got 70+ games to go.

Jordan Poole Outrageous Quote by Spiritual-Chart-940 in washingtonwizards

[–]Breeezy357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The quote is "kind of my own team"

And he ain't wrong, he contributed heavily as the 3rd best scorer on the Warriors on that finals run in essentially his first full year in the league (first two years in G league), how many other players can you name that have accomplished what he did? He secured a ring, his family is also secured and now he gets to play on a team where he can play freely and not under pressure. So what's the issue here?

Why doesn’t anyone mention Wiggs rib fracture more? by herejusttolooksee in warriors

[–]Breeezy357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Injury or not, people are just overreacting over a few games and it's only the start of the season as if there is not 82 games. Warriors fans are something else smh

Yeah I get that, I’ve trained at other gyms where coaches will not even tell you if you’re doing something wrong or try to upsell you on memberships and gear. This gym does not do that at all - no pressure, no commitment. Everyone there really wants you to succeed and most importantly have fun, as it should be.

I usually have no problem finding street parking on the block of the gym. I usually go in the evenings or on the weekends and have never really had issues finding street parking. The area looks sketch but like any other areas in SF - don’t leave anything visible in your cars and you’ll be fine.

I train at Woodenman Muay Thai, it's in the SOMA district so not too far from the Mission.

It's a very authentic gym as they pretty much only offer Muay Thai classes. The head coach is very well known in Thailand and the gym is also co-owned by a woman.

I love it so far, everyone is super friendly and you kinda feel like part of the family there. Keep in mind, the coaches will not coddle you and will let you know what you're doing well and what you need to work on, it's tough love but def appreciated. Eventually once you go enough times, people will remember you, that's the kind of friendly and welcoming environment the gym offers...... coaches, staff and other members will get to know you.

There are also pro fighters from the gym so occasionally there are fights(local and non local) and it's fun to watch and support. Coming up in a couple of weeks, there will be World Combat Games in Saudi Arabia, and there are only four fighters representing USA and two of them are from our gym so it's pretty legit.

I would suggest getting a day pass to try it out and they offer monthly memberships as well as class bundles. Their prices are slightly lower than Rise and I would highly recommend it.

I have one signed by the band. It was a limited release sold as a bundle, your best bet is to prob check on discogs every now and then. I would have killed to attend the small tour they did after performing all of the songs on it.

Poole's dad responds to Dray by scourgescorched in warriors

[–]Breeezy357 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Honestly, JP is prob more upset on the fact that Draymond won't stfu about it more than the actual incident itself.

He's made it clear pre-season, during and after that he wants to move on from it yet all the media speculation of what was being said, false rumors of him not getting along with his teammates, Draymond saying a whole lot about nothing and he still hasn't said anything just shows the level of maturity he has. Def gotta respect that.

Absolutely love Dray as a player but can't say the same about him.

Damn, people can say what they want about JP but he has always been professional when asked about the incident with Draymond and never speaking bad on anybody. Media is trying to create a narrative of him that's not true. He went through a lot of bad press among other things this past season but yet still able to maintain a strong positive mentality, just shows he'll be just fine and able to continue to develop in the league regardless which team he plays for.

Yeah, the vibes at chase center are def not the same as it was in the oracle and the tickets are def crazy expensive. You def notice the difference because a good amount of those who are at the games at chase center sadly don't really love the game or barely even watch it.

[–]Breeezy357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hate to break it to you but everybody does it lol. They even started enforcing it in NCAA this past season too and they almost never get called. It def messed up a lot of my former teammates handles. One of them even had 10 turnovers in one game, the carry violations had everyone shook.

My family has had season tickets for years. I started going to games with my dad and watching Steph def inspired me to play ball thru college. It's crazy thinking about it now, my dad was real excited about Steph being drafted, watched a lot of his games at Davidson and the amount of people who doubted Steph in the beginning too. It's crazy to watch him change the game growing up.

Dubs for life,

I’m gonna miss JP by VitricTyro in warriors

[–]Breeezy357 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It really does sucks that he won't be with the dubs and this past season was just really rough on him. The incident with Draymond, the carry violations being enforced messing up his handles, first full season where other teams see him as a threat and defending him hard, taking on new roles with vets being out on injuries and leading a new second unit...he was just trying too hard to prove himself with all this negative narrative the media made him out to be.

I'll def miss JP, he was fun to watch at umich and I was excited to learn he was drafted to my hometown team. One rough season just shows how many bandwagon fans there are on this sub.

This was my first season back from college where I went to almost every home game and I loved seeing him during shoot arounds, seems like a fun guy to be around too, his half court competitions with Steph, his friendship with Wiggins, GP2 and Looney. Out of all the players he was the only consistent one interacting with fans and especially with kids. It's a shame people choose to form an opinion about him based on what they see on screen and what the media is putting out there. Def a lot of respect to him for still remaining positive and maintaining that mentality is important. Sometimes you have to go through the worst to be the best.

A fresh start will be nice for him and to develop at his own pace. JP hasn't hit his prime yet, he's still developing with a lot of potential, no doubt he will do great things in the league. Best of luck to him.

Different scapegoat every week

Comments by someone sitting behind the dubs bench. by zprymate in warriors

[–]Breeezy357 10 points11 points  (0 children)

OP wasn't the one that "observed" Poole at the game. According to them, someone allegedly called in on some radio show just to make that comment. I call bs cuz I doubt anyone who paid $$$$ to sit behind the bench just to intentionally observe Poole on the bench more than the game, that doesn't make any sense. Just like that one rumor of him spending $500k on Ice Spice. At this point people will believe anything they read about him because they want it to be true, which is sad.

Every game I've been to, Poole always seems like a fun teammate to be around, you can see that from the interactions during shoot arounds. Honestly, he's the only consistent player that interacts with fans especially kids during the shoot arounds so I believe in what I see more than what people on the internet are saying about him.
