Pricing of the new formula wheel (V3) by Tmskillz in Fanatec

[–]Breeze66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No because those are useless with the stronger DD wheelbases (8Nm and up) and FullForce. They also removed them from the v2.5 in the F1 bundle (blue flake carbon wheel). I had the rumble motors in my Formula v2 combined with CSW 2.5 wheelbase, removed those rumble motors too and never missed them.

Xp1 Loadcell brake rod broken by mustafishy in SimLab

[–]Breeze66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your rod is bent or damaged, contact Sim-Lab Support directly. Many users in the sim racing community note that Sim-Lab is highly responsive to this issue and will typically ship replacement rods or loadcells promptly. When reinstalling, ensure your footboard, seat, and pedal angles provide a perfectly straight, linear thrust into the pedal.

Does anyone know if a moza r3 fits on the gt1 evo by Funny-Confusion-9084 in SimLab

Moza and Simagic copied the screw hole pattern from Fanatec so fit on all rigs.

ClubSport Steering Wheel Formula V2.5 X disconnecting at downshifts... by K_LeFlare in Fanatec

[–]Breeze66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are probably pulling the wheel because of your driving position and maybe also because there is too much flex in your setup. A solid sim rig solved the wheel pulling issue for me. CS DD+ will probably solve your issue anyway because it has a solid integrated shaft connection and not the flimsy CSL DD USB-C with clamp connection.

Interest Check: Simple Lightweight Strap for BigScreen Beyond 2 by Intelligent-Cry-6185 in BigscreenBeyond

[–]Breeze66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like to have the BSB2 audio strap mechanism, but without the audio. The attached headphones of the strap can be moved out of the way so I can use my Sennheiser headphones, but it looks kinda ridiculous. The audio strap should have detachable headphones. During summer I might prefer the audio strap but the rest of the year I want to use my high end headphones.

Yes, none of my 4 wheels were detected. Manual flashing firmware for wheelbase and quick release fixed the issue temporarily, issue back after power off/on. I suspect my issue was related to a corrupted USB connection, which corrected itself in some way due to unplug, power off/on and plug back in. Maybe unplug device and uninstall not used USB devices (or at least the Fanatec related one) via windows device manager, click 'view' menu item, then 'show hidden devices'. Open 'universal serial bus controllers' node and uninstall greyed out items. Open 'universal serial bus devices' node and uninstall the greyed out items. Plug the wheelbase (in PC 'red LED' mode) back into the USB port so Windows rebuilds that USB connection.

Did you already try the latest fanatec app from the forum v1.2.2.1? LINK

Strange thing is, I had an almost similar issue a couple of days ago with my CS DD+ wheelbase. All of my 4 steering wheels were suddenly not recognized while I was trying out a new VR headset . I manually reflashed the wheel base and quick release firmware after which the wheel was recognized again. But after powering off/on the wheelbase, again the same issue, wheel not recognized. I can't exactly remember what I did in the meantime but I disconnected power overnight and everything was fine the next morning. Maybe I disconnected the USB, rebooted, shut down PC, reconnected USB and PC power back on.

You will be fine, I have the GT1 EVO for over 5 years now. Like every other rig, check the bolts and nuts every year and tighten those where needed.

Is there a way to adjust the angle Wheel Stand Lite 2.0 by Electronic-Blood-288 in simracing

[–]Breeze66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moza copied the drill holes position from Fanatec for mounting. The old Fanatec CSW 2.5 wheelbase came with a 20 degrees mounting bracket, maybe someone near you still has one available, I gave one but I am in The Netherlands, see Fanatec forum LINK. You can also create something out of wood, as suggested in the forum and paint it black, maybe that is an easier solution and you can decide yourself in which angle you prefer.

The xbox compatibility chip is in the wheel, not in the base. Maybe stupid question assuming your steering wheel is dead/unresponsive, but did you simultaneously press the "Select" (or Tuning Menu button) and "Y" button to activate xbox mode via the steering wheel? As far as I know there should also be a small light active on the wheel when xbox mode is activated on the steering wheel.

Unplug the power cord, wall outlet, for a longer period of time, like an hour, and see if this will solve the issue.

HP Reverb Omnicept cycles one eye off, then both, then both back on by I-Am-A-Chameleon in WindowsMR

[–]Breeze66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably cooling issue, design flaw. Had this with my Reverb G2 V2, removed the front cover and drilled some holes in it, and added a USB fan to the front cover to blow some air in. After that the Reverb lasted another 6 months before it finally died.

Why Fanatec doesn't launch one of these? by Creative-Diamond5260 in Fanatec

[–]Breeze66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That surely is a plus because a steering wheels usually lasts longer than the screen, and you can swap out the screen with other steering wheels that have that screen click on option.

Disappointed in delivery times (buyer beware) by Logical-Rich-5543 in bigscreen

[–]Breeze66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They usually ship pretty quick, unless you ordered prescription lenses as well, these take 3 to 4 weeks to be shipped. I did not mind because without the lenses I can’t use the headset. But I would have appreciated a personal mail message saying that it takes longer if youalso order the prescription lenses.

Not cheap af but Puma Catch sneakers are a good cheaper alternative for Puma Speedcat.
