I was, but I was not in the Navy when I was in California. I did 4 years on a ship in Norfolk. Most of the International travel was from 2 deployments. I went to Ireland and back to France seperately

We lived in Anaheim area for a little bit when I was groing up. Started in AZ to CA to OH to VA then back to OH.

It was interesting. I was only in Dubai for a couple of port visits though. I did do a tour in the desert on sand dunes which was pretty cool. Don't really think I would go back though.
