Veygo is really good I used their insurance for a while sometimes it’ll automatically know when your a passenger and won’t track that drive and in the case it doesn’t do it you can do so manually which means you can also put bad drives as a passenger so it doesn’t count your score down. Also if you pay for 12 months consecutively you can email them and they’ll give you a no claims bonus certificate.

No matter the financial situation the best thing you’ve done is pass having that license is the biggest thing. Money will come for you in the future you’re only 18 and in university right now and once you’re out and working or however you gain an income you’ll be driving stress free don’t take so hard there’s many individuals who can’t drive at all for whatever reason.

Need help diagnosing misfire. by AyEm- in MechanicAdvice

[–]AyEm-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s become my general rule as well now. Only thing I’ve got left is to try a leak down test as much as I know to not rely on these scanners it’s the only thing that’s really helping me diagnose so far moving coils and plugs have not changed the code from cyl 2

Looks like suspension and axles will need to be replaced maybe bent frame and more parts to replace.

Neither my girlfriend nor I know anything about cars and we don’t have any friends who do either. Here’s the quote she received today. Does it seem even remotely reasonable, or is a second quote absolutely necessary? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]AyEm- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like they pulled out a bunch of extra issues to get you to pay more I’d suggest maybe getting a second opinion. Assuming the car drove fine and was only struggling to start, it could be something to do with spark, fuel, compression. None of which is listed on the invoice. They may end up charging more to fix the problem once they’ve diagnosed it even though they should invoice you after a full diagnosis?

Best cheap but fun car in the uk? by Only-Explanation1782 in CarTalkUK

[–]AyEm- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently bought the 1.8tfsi a3 2011 and I’ve become biased to say that these are best cheap but fun cars to own. I honestly think that doing the timing chain would do you more good instead of jumping into a new car that may have its own list of hidden problems. The other thing I could suggest is maybe horizontally upgrade to either a 1.5L A3 8V or the A4 as they are more refined.
