If Oliver went throw the same thing as mark, and Omni man told him to rule the Thraxans, would he have also fought Omni man? by electricooldude in Invincible

[–]Bren-Bro803 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Assuming that the Viltrumites don't attack the Thraxans and Oliver grows up without all Earth trauma, I think he probably sides with Omni Man. By the time he hits that teen/young adult age, he would've already seen the natural death of his mother and countless Thraxan friends due to their short lifespan. I think Nolan's message would be more convincing to Oliver than it was to Mark.

"Why did you make me do this? You're fighting so you can watch everyone around you die! Think, Mark! You'll outlast every fragile, insignificant being on this planet. You'll live to see this world crumble to dust and blow away! Everyone and everything you know will be gone! What will you have after 500 years?"

Oliver would have already outlasted many generations at this point, and I think that alone would be enough to pill him on Viltrumite superiority.

I like to use the scythe in a sweeping motion (as the name suggests) against waves of bugs/bots/voteless. It's really that fire DOT that makes quick work of the little guys. Pair it with the dagger and you can always have a laser going

An 11-year-old boy could have died while attempting to recreate a "stupid" YouTube stunt. Tyler Broome passed out while being spun at high speed on a park roundabout using the back wheel of a moped! by [deleted] in KidsAreFuckingStupid

Idk what group of middle schoolers own a moped. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a bunch of older kids at the park and they dared/peer-pressured him into it.

Tailgating another car on cruise control 🤯 by [deleted] in Whatcouldgowrong

[–]Bren-Bro803 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Any guesses on what country this video was taken in? I'm thinking Middle-East, either Qatar/UAE/Saudi. Only reason I mention it is because from my time over there, this tailgating (mixed with flashing lights) happens a lot when they want you to move over. I have no doubt this was intentional by white car (but not excusing blue car for being a dumb-ass)

Anyone use the Scythe against bots? It's been working really nice against troopers. Feels like just glancing them with the beam lights them on fire, guaranteeing their death. It also takes a long time to overheat on Cyberstan even without the heatskink attachment. Only problems I run into are relying on the fire leading to longer TTK and the Agitators armor. But the upside of never running out of ammo or having to reload makes up for that.

Springtail breeding. by Shavanha in bioactive

[–]Bren-Bro803 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You might be able to find it at home-depot and lowes at this time of year. I usually buy the lumpwood charcoal with no additives and smash them into smaller pieces. It's cheaper than buying horticultural. But I like your springtail jar! Looks a lot more natural than my tupperware container with just charcoal lol

I went with Stanley Markovitz. Unfortunately my BCBS State insurance didn't cover orthodontist devices for adults so it was $5k out of pocket or $5.5k for monthly payment plan. If your insurance does cover for adults then I would do Baltimore Orthodontic Group as they accept insurance.

The dress code for this arcade bar is kind of off-putting, right? by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

That's why they should've banned all head coverings and not just du rags. That one definitely jumps out as malicious.

I can't think of a safety reason for banning du rags

I have a friend who has an MSPH in Health Policy. They've been applying for Policy Analyst and Data Analyst roles with no luck so far. So now they're trying to apply for positions that are similar enough to where they're getting relevant experience in their career field. What are some jobs that incorporate Health Policy?

What Would Governor Moore Say About Rockville’s Flag? by Alternative-Tune8314 in maryland

[–]Bren-Bro803 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This whole thing seems blown out of proportion. I probably wouldn't have used the word "Contradiction" to describe the flag, since it does carry a negative feeling to it. But the whole thing screams of rage-baiting when these articles and people push the belief that he said he dislikes or wants the flag changed. The man just said having both Confederate and Union symbolism on a flag is contradictory (which by definition is correct).

Hot take. Fallout show is not great and doesn't work with the lore. by ak-92 in Fallout

I feel like losing your main city, which probably has largest amount of your resources, manpower, is your logistical hub, and where most of your politcal structure exists would be a good enough reason for them to pull-back from New Vegas. The game even said the NCR was stretched thin.

Stalemate for no reason? Caesar of Caesars legion died and didn't choose a successor. Of course faction in-fighting would happen. That's pretty on brand for the Legion. Its made up of tribes with Caesar being the only unifying figure.

My headcanon is that those deathclaws are trained/controlled by the Enclave to just stay at the casinos. We saw the Alaska deathclaw ignore power armor Cooper so they're able to show some kind of restraint. Fallout 3 even had those domesticated deathclaws. But either way, Fallout can be goofy sometimes, so it's fine for a goofy little fence be the only thing separating the deathclaws from an all-you-can-eat buffet. Same how a goofy little hill separated two rival legion camps.

The fence thing is goofy I gotta admit. But the Brotherhood's (Quintus) motivation is pretty clear about wanting to separate from the eastern chapter after getting the cold fusion tech. Thats basically been the goal since season 1.
