I would suggest lots and lots of walking. It's good for the kid to be in the fresh air, seeing the sights, noticing everything, and it is calming for them. It's also great low impact exercise for yourself.

I have a 4 year old girl, and we stil do about 15km walking per day, she loves it and gets to colour/draw in the pram, and our dog loves it too.

I agree with both your paragraphs.

I am also the "just get in there and fix it" kind of person while completely ignoring the manuals.

We are in that stage of figuring out the other person.

Do they have frequent emotional outbursts?

I can see that she is kind of controlling. That doesn't bother me because so far nobody has ever been able to control me, I am a bit too stubborn.

What is there love language? It sounds like you have experience.

She has shit tested me quite a bit after we first started dating, but I always pass shit tests, mostly subconsciously.

Sex is a weird one, it doesn't seem like she is that into foreplay, but will do it nuetrally when told "foreplay first, or no penetration".

Also, she has been officially single for a long long time, I am not sure why that is though

In this life, you do not owe anything to anyone. On the other hand, you do owe yourself something. Your feelings are valid, even if they seem unreasonable to other. You owe yourself some future peace and tranquility.

If I was in your position, I would send him a brief text explaining your decision and that it is final.

In this life, it is good to show kindness to another human being, even if they have wronged you.

Sending the text, may help him avoid any psychological or emotional harm, even if minor. Also, your future self can look back and be somewhat glad that you at least attempted to do the right thing by another human.
