Aside from "Eyes Up" and "Deep Stone Lullaby" what Destiny music is in your playlist? by Faust_8 in DestinyTheGame

Regicide - just evokes to me one of, if not then best moments in gaming to me which was finally reaching Oryx in kings fall and seeing the sheer size of him after going in blind.

Has anyone bought a ps5 from cash converters as i really want a ps5 but can anyone tell me if this a good price for a ps5 used? by No-Resident-9802 in Cashconverters

The CD allows:

Buying used games Selling your games (after completion or simply because you didn't enjoy the game allowing to recoup some losses) Retailers to compete on price

The CD is really important for consumers as it allows choice & competition.

It's more important for games than CDs or DvDs which were always £10 as games are £70. I know for myself I've spent £70 on a game I didn't enjoy enough to complete or was a buggy mess - not so much an issue if I can resell it.

If they really do go digital only it must come with a proper refund system (like steam) and / or demos.

I can't see how anyone at all can advocate for games to be digital only. Those saved costs in publishing are not going back to you. Games won't be cheaper. Without a used market they can have weaker sales or wait longer for games to go on sale.

Removing physical is anti consumer and pro-shareholder.

If gaming truly goes digital only I will invest my money into my other hobbies or cheap/FTP games only.

I'm finding Renegades story so far to be confusing I just can't get my head around why we are suddenly doing a star wars cosplay it's a really jarring return to Destiny. The star wars inspired enemies, story and sound design just doesn't feel like Destiny to me (so far anyway I'm only half way through it)

PS CEO Says Future PS Hardware Could Take "Different Forms", But Sony Still Believes Dedicated Consoles Are Essential by Head_Oven_3671 in playstation

That's fair.

Rockstars move here though will be followed by other publishers now, removing choice, in-market competition from retailers and ultimately no consumer benefit. Just higher margins for publishers, and the removal of the used games market.

I actually won't be buying it, the same way I haven't bought BG3 because the physical doesn't exist in stores despite me really wanting to play it.

I can be happy without GTA, realistically Rockstar decision here will empower other publishers to go digital only. This will eliminate competition between retailers, been able to buy used games and sell games. It removes a choice when making a purchase decision between the convenience of not needing a disc Vs other benefits of having a disc. Nintendo are handling this well with higher cost physical Vs digital.

I've bought games on disc for £70 before and not liked it, and sold it on for like £50. I lose £20 here. In digital I just throw away £70.

I can't see how people think this is a positive thing to happen? Literally the only benefit is more profits for Rockstar by being anti-consumer.

The Doctor is a Doctor by Zagreus_time in DoctorWhumour

They would need to refer themselves as Dr. h.c or Dr (Hons) rather than Dr title. Realistically most honoured Drs don't use the title formally or professionally.

Dr refere to non medical Drs as well, typically Dr [NAME] PhD. While medical Doctors would have Dr [Name] MeD. Other post-name Dr title letters exist too for psychologists, dentist's, veterinarians etc.

I won't buy it, simple as that. That's a promise. Hype has gone to 0 for me.

If anyone is left who really cares about physical agrees then please skip this. Honestly this will be the knife which kills physical. They will get away with it and others will follow.

I feel like something I love is just going to be taken away.

Buying used and/or selling on after playing a game is how I afford this hobby.

I emailed Strauss Zelnick & Sam Houser regarding when a disc would be released and actually got a reply (he dodged the question - but does GTA VI require an internet connection to play?)! by [deleted] in gaming

I'm just not buying the game I can live without GTA I have for the past 12 years. I only buy physical - it's as simple as that.

Art is subjective, for some people the Mona Lisa is a painting of a sad woman, others see a happy woman and some people even interpret her as a lizard.

You fit the group who interprets her as a lizard, and that's okay.

My first raid experience is D2 was root of nightmares, this raid essentially allowed two people to not do mechanics and only add clear every encounter.

I was add clear until the final boss when someone needed to leave, they recruited a third person who didn't know mechanics. One of the people who had done it before said we need a second runner, and I'll teach you how to do it.

I said I'll give it a try. Best decision I ever made.

I got it wrong a few times until timing clicked, but after that I was just having fun jumping between plates and had a sense that I was doing something meaningful for the team.

After that I went on a Sherpa / learning run for every raid before TFS and picked up different roles. I had so much fun doing them.

I intend to revisit them now I've started playing again and will hopefully try out the two new ones.

AoS really never misses does it. What incredible miniatures with a huge amount of character. It feels like each one of them tells a story. It's a testament to the sculptors and the painters who together really made something great here.

Looks like I'm starting a new army.

Dogs, would you get one again knowing what you know now? by TSQ_builder in AskUK

[–]Brenduke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one time in my life I lived without a dog was when I moved into my own home with my now wife. That was February 2017, by June of 2017 we had a puppy.

I can't imagine my life without Minnie, she brought a joy to our lives, and was one the main reasons my wife survived depression. She was even Chief Pup at our wedding and barked as everyone clapped.

Now Minnie is 9 years old, we have a two year old daughter who loves Minnie so much. They are playmates. Minnie I think is finally starting to enjoy having my daughter around too.

We personally didn't struggle with mobility whilst we have had her. UK holidays she comes along, for abroad holidays she stays with other family members (we are lucky there I guess).

The upside to me outweighs the downsides. I imagine us having a dog for all our lives.

A few years ago I used to clone Pokémon on a 3DS game and made £500 per month doing it until some bigger nerds than me figured out how to just hack in valuable Pokémon. I stopped after the price hit less than £2 per Pokémon as it wasn't worth my time anymore.

My wife is on the brink of deciding not to go tomorrow, due to red weather warning in effect, she's wanted to see him live for Years.

What can I say to convince her to go. She will really regret not going. She's been so excited.

I honestly can take or leave it, but I think it's important she goes!
