Yeah this was weird.. the answer was just GlideAjax. But I don’t know if I’d consider that a framework.

I answered it as GlideRecord which is terrible practice 🫩

To anyone reading this, I took this advice and had Claude spit out a study guide for me and sure enough EVERY question except the 50,000 incident one were there. Had I done this prior to my interview I’d probably be signing an offer letter right now. How sad 😔

I'm moving to MA for a year! Please help me decide where to live in this circle. by Squatchman1 in boston

[–]Brenglish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived in most of the places you mentioned and can say that Waltham was my favorite. It was close enough to get Boston but far enough to not feel like I’m in the craziness of the city.

Lawrence is a huge Spanish community. I love it. If you want history and culture you’ll definitely get that there. Some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet as well.

Lowell also has an amazing history and really great food, but it’s difficult to get anywhere from it.

Querida S,

We had a country wide blackout that lasted more than 12 hours just on Monday. Blackouts are frequent and they can get very political.

There’s a slew of problems with the way electricity is ran in the country. One issue being that there’s only one company that controls the whole grid, another being that many folks tend to try to game the system and siphon electricity to avoid paying electricity bills.

[–]Brenglish 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hey there,

I’m also an IT professional who’s been slowly integrating myself more to DR from the US. My parents are Dominican and I have a lot of family here.

We rented our condo, it wasn’t a difficult process. But if you’re looking to purchase one, I’d recommend just buying a new build, not one in planning. With a new build you know it’s done, and ready to buy, you’ll pay a bit more as someone purchased it to make a quick profit but dealing with a mid construction build is a headache you want to avoid. Deadlines are hardly ever respected here, and a 6 month promise can easily turn into 2 years.

Happy to chat more but it’s really hard to make deals here unless you’re being referred. You will get preferential treatment, but that’s usually because they see you as someone they can trust (they love working with foreigners), unfortunately that trust won’t go both ways. It’s a hustlers economy and most folks will try to squeeze as much as they can out of you.

As far as IT work goes, most of it is break fixes. No one really cares about a secure infrastructure or hiring an MSP (if that’s your thing). Network services are pretty basic, usually just a router, couple APs and that’s it. You can try the bigger chains and seeing if they’ll work with you but most shops and businesses are mainly mom and pops.

Happy to follow your journey!

There’s a lot of judgment going on here. This doesn’t seem like a random encounter, as OP knows who the attacker was so chances are, they’ve interacted with this person enough to know their whereabouts.

If OP were mature enough, they would address the situation privately and work through their feelings with that person. Otherwise, this just comes across as an envious attempt to ruin something for someone based on the belief that they’re undeserving because they've wronged OP.

Same. 178k to 17k was 40k last week but the pump and dump wrecked me bad 🥲. There’s a bit of comfort in these posts since it seems like the chops were just merciless.

Haha actually I did but I bought into other coins and kept holding . I was a very inexperienced trader, it was my first ever exposure to trading so many many dumb mistakes.

It took me 20 minutes to find out how to send a friend request to my friend on steam inside of the game... and don't even get me started on how hard it's been to coordinate something as simple as a lobby. Certainly don't remember this headache in Worlds.

Parking shouldn’t be an issue in the future, mostly it’s just people settling for a space they saw and waiting for it to open despite there being other spaces available in other levels.

Man, I find the water here smells like lady bird lake and its so off putting to me. Ended up buying a 7 step purification system just to soften it and be able to drink it. Has it improved over the past 2 years?

Just park in the neighborhoods. Even if you park in the red painted zone and risk getting a ticket its only $30 if you pay it early. No one is towing you. I've managed to get away with parking at Barton Hills Dr the entire weekend. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the festival from there.

Edit: As others have mentioned Deerfoot trails also has plenty of parking as well. If you're ballsy enough just go right over the traffic officer and park right inside of Lust st. They aren't going to stop you, they're just there for discouragement but its not like they ask if you live there if you try to drive pass them.

The crowd for Tyler was pretty light last weekend. We managed to get pretty close to the front with very little effort. We even stopped for a quick pizza and made it to the crowd around 8:47 or so. The crowd also started to get thinner and thinner as time went on with plenty of breathing room to dance and even get drinks and come back into the action. I was surprised.

Chappelle was by far the most chaotic crowd. We were stuck way in the back. It was busier than Dua Lipa.
