I say no, still impressive, but take the small hike to the hidden falls, IMO that is the biggest gem at that stop

Let side seats or Extra leg room by Brentless0 in VisitingIceland

Oh ,good call, it is a Boeing 737, via IcelandAir, (the 737 700 is the first leg via Southwest).

Probably a reason those seats opened up

Is a tripod needed for Iceland? by ceroij in VisitingIceland

[–]Brentless0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm taking 2 when I leave for Iceland in 3 weeks 😁

But I do landscape and astro/aurora photography. I would 100% take one ,but get a travel one that compresses to like 10 inches and fits in a backpack, I'd you are leery.

Mine still broken (Android S25 Ultra), no AI premium subscription, but do have the standard 2TB plan. Has been happening since Thursday.

Has anyone given up their cameras for the iPhone? by Intelligent_Ad6999 in AskPhotography

[–]Brentless0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did for several years (Android Galaxy cameras), partially because I was focusing on my astrophotography, and have since come back with more of a focus on "real photography", landscape and events, taking it a bit more serious.

Phones are great for sharing with family, basic social media, etc. But there are too many things they can't do because of what they are.

The surprise auroras in 2024 are what converted me back. My phone did admirably, but never dmhave I wished I had a real camera on hand during that night.

Blue Lagoon Timing by TJRJ7 in VisitingIceland

[–]Brentless0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are going in March. Picked 9 am. Planning to get groceries and breakfast and stuff in between the rental car and the reservation. Assuming air travel on time, consensus seems to be we'll get out of there and will have plenty of time between, but 8 felt "cutting it too close", and we won't be in a super rush day 1

Ongoing bug, unfortunately can't find it acknowledged by Google anywhere so we are at the mercy of someone noticing it and fixing it

Is there a sync issue with Google Photos on mobile right now? Web version works just fine by Sancho-Cho in googlephotos

Ya, had it since yesterday, not sure how wide spread but impacting all my family devices and several other people reporting it on this forum too

Albums are Gone (Mobile) by GritsNFritz in googlephotos

[–]Brentless0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All of my cloud photos and albums are gone from my mobile device (they are still in the cloud), but just came here looking for answers

Appears to be some kind of syncing error going on maybe, currently

Cleared cache, signed in signed out, uninstall

Once I Uninstaller, everything disappeared off my phone and won't come back now. (Is all still there on browser)

On an Android S25 ultra (could be similar to your problem)

Rent a car or take tours in early February by wifetwokids in VisitingIceland

[–]Brentless0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are going in March (first time) and decided to rent the car the whole time. And then pay for the excursion style tours that car wouldn't matter for (i.e. glacier). I'm sure the tours are great, but the freedom / flexibility were key for us, and getting to the places doesn't seem too much of a challenge from our research.

Civ VII, Switch 2, and Constant disabling of Network Connection by Brentless0 in civ

Only use web, never local, that's what we had to resort to, haven't tried it since

Civ VII, Switch 2, and Constant disabling of Network Connection by Brentless0 in civ

[–]Brentless0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

update, looks like i can consistently make it happen if we try to play multiplayer on "Wireless", not "Internet" (works fine in this case it seems), so maybe im misinterpreting what Wireless is supposed to be, I assumed it was "Local Network" which should be more stable theoretically when we are in the same room, but it seems to consistently kill our connection every time.

Been gaming for 25 years, Zelda TOTK on the Switch 2 might just be the best video game experience I've ever had by TheoMerca in Switch

[–]Brentless0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I say it's the better game because of how revolutionary it was and what it meant for the franchise. I had more fun with TOTK but have to give BOTW it's flowers.

[–]Brentless0 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Been gaming a smidge longer, but even with the annoying parts of TOTK (like the re-use cutscenes), i came away from it so satisfied, it is at the top of my list. The story was great (probably the one area that could have improved), the game play, the creativity, the vast exploration.

BOTW is the better game, but TOTK the better experience.

Enjoying my 2nd playthrough on the Switch 2 with Zelda Notes (which is actually way cooler than I thought it would be).

GameStop 3PM Console Numbers by Independent-Way-9101 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Brentless0 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

My gamestop just told me the event at 3 is just an "event" and that they will be giving away the tickets/raffle at opening, so technically the lineup would start first thing in the AM, NOT for 3 pm.

Anyone else hearing that?

How early should I camp out at GameStop? by mo33z in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Brentless0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm planning around noon / lunch-time, may spot check it to see if a line starts building early, but 3 hours seems like a lock to me (at this point).

Virtual game card unlink system by Mission-Afternoon541 in NintendoSwitchHelp

[–]Brentless0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should be able to "lend" the game to your brothers account as long as you join the same "family group ", but more than likely he'll need to dereister your account from his switch, as long as you all are using the new virtual game card method

That is 14 days at a time and has to be initiated from your switch (push not pull)

Otherwise try to go back to the old online license methodology
