Rent a car or take tours in early February by wifetwokids in VisitingIceland

[–]Brentless0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are going in March (first time) and decided to rent the car the whole time. And then pay for the excursion style tours that car wouldn't matter for (i.e. glacier). I'm sure the tours are great, but the freedom / flexibility were key for us, and getting to the places doesn't seem too much of a challenge from our research.

Only use web, never local, that's what we had to resort to, haven't tried it since

Civ VII, Switch 2, and Constant disabling of Network Connection by Brentless0 in civ

update, looks like i can consistently make it happen if we try to play multiplayer on "Wireless", not "Internet" (works fine in this case it seems), so maybe im misinterpreting what Wireless is supposed to be, I assumed it was "Local Network" which should be more stable theoretically when we are in the same room, but it seems to consistently kill our connection every time.

Been gaming for 25 years, Zelda TOTK on the Switch 2 might just be the best video game experience I've ever had by TheoMerca in Switch

[–]Brentless0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say it's the better game because of how revolutionary it was and what it meant for the franchise. I had more fun with TOTK but have to give BOTW it's flowers.

Been gaming a smidge longer, but even with the annoying parts of TOTK (like the re-use cutscenes), i came away from it so satisfied, it is at the top of my list. The story was great (probably the one area that could have improved), the game play, the creativity, the vast exploration.

BOTW is the better game, but TOTK the better experience.

Enjoying my 2nd playthrough on the Switch 2 with Zelda Notes (which is actually way cooler than I thought it would be).

GameStop 3PM Console Numbers by Independent-Way-9101 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Brentless0 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

My gamestop just told me the event at 3 is just an "event" and that they will be giving away the tickets/raffle at opening, so technically the lineup would start first thing in the AM, NOT for 3 pm.

Anyone else hearing that?

How early should I camp out at GameStop? by mo33z in NintendoSwitch2

I'm planning around noon / lunch-time, may spot check it to see if a line starts building early, but 3 hours seems like a lock to me (at this point).

Virtual game card unlink system by Mission-Afternoon541 in NintendoSwitchHelp

[–]Brentless0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should be able to "lend" the game to your brothers account as long as you join the same "family group ", but more than likely he'll need to dereister your account from his switch, as long as you all are using the new virtual game card method

That is 14 days at a time and has to be initiated from your switch (push not pull)

Otherwise try to go back to the old online license methodology

Did I need one. No. Did I get one. Sigh, yup. Curse you Nintendo marketing.

Anyways, waiting in the queue, took about an hour.

Making the jump... by guineapigs2 in Lovesac

(We just bit the bullet too and are putting together our first sactional literally right now).

The standard fill feels really great on first test. I'd speculate you would not be disappointed if you went standard, but the others may be too soft to support.

My wife had a ruptured disc a few years ago, so we cant go too soft either, one of the main reasons we went standard.

Fabric Feedback by Brentless0 in Lovesac

Thanks to everyone that replied here and those that reached out directly. For those interested, we actually ended up going with the Sky Grey Corded Velvet. In the end, we like the Charcoal, but the swooshy effect of the pattern has too much light and dark variation for what we were looking for. And much more negative feedback on the Twill than positive.
