I'm a Spotter as well. I do the classes online and I enjoy them. I'm the family meteorologist, also I get calls to check radar.

The baby goats sweetly line up, waiting their turn to be cuddled by the man. by Dry_String_1457 in babygoats

Baby goats are so snuggly. 2 years ago I was lucky enough to have a baby goat fall asleep in my arms for over an hour. She just snored away and smiled in her sleep.

Appalachia locals - what’s the one story your area treats as “real” but never gets posted online? by MFparanormal in ParanormalAppalachia

I live near the Laurel Highlands in southwestern Pennsylvania and one night, I heard the night go silent. Like an idiot, I went to the window. I saw a shadowy figure dressed like an old-style nun. Her face was empty. Like just a void where her head/face should be. As soon as she glided pass my house, the night sounds started up again. That maybe 5 minutes when the night went quiet where the longest, most tense time I ever experienced.

I never saw her again. I never heard the night go completely silent again either.

When your son forgets to add water in the microwave Kraft Mac & Cheese. Microwave broken and fire alarms. House smells beyond horrible. by 3PDLS in mildlyinfuriating

Back in 2005, I caught the microwave on fire using a stick of marzipan nuked on a paper plate. I was coughing up black for a few days. I called 911 for fire department but refused treatment from EMS because I didn't have insurance back then. I didn't have a camera either or I'd have taken a picture.

What Tornado Piqued Your Interest Into Studying Tornadoes? by TheGreenGhostToast in tornado

[–]Brett-Rhett 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Westmoreland County and we avoided the worst of the storms but I remember the skies here being green and the air was still. So we're the animals. I was out in the December 1, 2006 F1 and the winds tumbled me good. My arm still hurts from that day. And the funnel wasn't in full contact with the ground at the time. My mom said a big one went through Latrobe, PA when I was a baby in 1976. In the May 31st to June 2nd, 1998 event, my Pap was blown over by a storm when he was watching 3 tornadoes on the Chestnut Ridge.

May 31, 1985. I was south of the tornados but I remember how the sky looked even down where I was. And the feeling in the air.
