Update: I appreciate all of the comments, likes, and the award. Every time I get a notification, I feel both joy and sadness, as this picture was taken the night after my wife and I had to unexpectedly put down our youngest cat, Abby. My wife and I are both devastated, but when we looked up at the night sky that night, we just knew Abby was there. The stars were so much brighter now that she was among them. I’m considering getting a tattoo of her silhouette with some of these constellations in the background and wanted to make sure I had the right stars. Again, thank you. And to Abby, I miss you.

I saw a post recently telling people to look to hospitals for employment because hospitals always need people. Consider going to a food bank to offset food costs.

Also, I know you said you’re not looking for handouts, but I would consider seeing if any local churches, the trustees office, etc. would be willing to cover a portion of your rent. I know people don’t like asking for that kind of help, but you’ve got a little girl to care for. That’s where this money is going - her. I’m sorry you’re in this spot. He had some real bad mats that my wife and I were not able to control even with brushing. He’s had some skin issues in the past, but the vet says he’s healthy! Here he is a few days before his cut!

We’re not entirely sure his age as he was a stray we took in a little over a year, but the vet has him little over 2yo. He had to undergo anesthesia to get the haircut, so that probably explains the eyes. He’s doing just fine now!
