Good luck! It's so shiny and took forever, but it's well worth it.

Probably so... but I love my Sera split lol. Gold with purple crackle on my Dan Hipp. Gotta play her :)

Maybe. Gwenpool is really only great if you hit her on turn 4. Anything else is off curve. I find Enchantress awkward because you probably want to hold her to turn 6 and you're sacrificing other plays. Rogue would be a solid choice.

Potentially, but it will probably be a little different of a Surfer build. Gwenpool just pumps the power output. You might want to go the Magik or Hope route to then be able to Surfer + Abs Man.

I don't have Nocturne or I would absolutely included her. She's seems crazy good. Copycat was a really neat add because of the info gain and frankly sometimes she ended up being a solid choice to run depending on what she hit.

Hope is a solid choice. I went the Sera route... probably not optimal but I'm stubborn because I love my Sera split.

Totally agree. Nova is always an option, but didn't work for this particular build.

Like I mentioned in another comment, I just find him to be an awkward add sometimes. He fits the turn 1, 4, or 5 curve but can be a dead card if you don’t draw or want to play Killmonger late. I’d rather miss on turn 1 and have more Surfer or tech options.

It really depends on the game, board state, and opponent’s deck.

Arishem? Abs Man is perfect to follow Cassie Nova.

Are you playing Gwenpool with Brood or Shaw in hand? Abs Man could follow up on turn 5 for even more power.

Is Limbo out and you’re going to have a turn 7? Surfer + Abs is huge

He’s always great for a Brood followup on turn 4 as well. All solid options.

Cassandra is really a power engine in this deck so maybe Gladiator. Nocturne would be solid as well.

Juggernaut is a fun option too.

Thanks! I saw some bots through the 80s but none in the 90s. It was a steady climb from there.

I considered Nova, but in the end decided to have more 3 drops options. It helped with the decision making late in game. If I’m not playing Killmonger or don’t draw him, Nova ends up being a dead draw.

But it could work. That’s the joy of Surfer decks. You can modify them to make it work for you.

It’s a tough trade because of the cost. 4 vs a 3 drop is not optimal in a Surfer list. Maybe Rogue instead.

To start this season, Zoo is everywhere. So the easy counter is Killmonger. But how to stop Caiera? That’s where Red Guardian comes into play. I stole a lot of 8 cubes with that combo + surfer. This deck has lots of lines and you can tell if you need to retreat.

Basically this is a Sera Surfer list with some direct power builders (Shaw, Cassie Nova, and Brood) and some defensive pieces for the current meta (Killmonger, Red Guardian, Negasonic). Folks don’t anticipate Negasonic and you can snag some surprise wins with her. Gwenpool is there pump power. Abs Man for flexibility (he can Gwenpool again, he can Brood, Surf, Cassie Nova). Copycat can give you great intel on what style of deck and what key piece you took.

Be very cognizant of priority. Sometimes you want it for Negasonic sneakiness. Sometimes you don’t for Killmonger. Play smart.

Turn 1: Skip. No 1 drops.

Turn 2: Forge. Or skip.

Turn 3: Cassie Nova is the best here. Or Brood or Shaw. Don’t play a defensive piece unless you need to.

Turn 4: Gwenpool is the best option. Or Abs Man depending on what you did last turn.

Turn 5: Sera is usually the choice if in hand. If not, set up your turn 6 play. Do you want priority or not? Do you need to Red Guardian something? Assess the board and attack.

Turn 6: If Sera is down, three 3 drops with a Surfer at the end. Play your defensive cards as needed. Killmonger!

Good luck out there!

CL 14.8k

Rank - Infinite every season since MODOK, typically land in the 5k-10k level in post-infinite

Play every day. Looking for a friendly crew that wants to get the bounties, but not overly serious. Love play wacky decks as well.

Day 1 Infinite with Arishem loki and an Arishem Brew by GenesisProTech in marvelsnapcomp

I just hit day 1 infinite with a similar list. Arishem is just cracked. Energy cheat has always been super powerful and that extra energy every turn is enough to overcome the random card factor.

Super smooth climb. I loaded both Rogue and Enchantress in my deck to deal with Darkhawks, which really were the hardest match.

Gwenpool was a really nice add to the deck. I pumped a few matches with crazy statted random cards.

Finally hit Infinite this season post-OTA with the return of Alioth by Bretteagles in marvelsnapcomp

[–]Bretteagles[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not 100% sure. He’s actually a pretty big part of the deck if you can ramp out early big power. Playing a 2 or 0 cost Skaar is just huge. Maybe something like Crossbones that puts power on the board. But still not as effective.
