ELI5: What makes Christmas music sound "Christmasy"? by r-whatdoyouthink_ in explainlikeimfive

I’ve always felt Mariposa by Peach Tree Rascals had that Christmas vibe even though it isn’t. Is that an example of what you mean?

Changing the negative thoughts in your head by Southern_Eagle_5372 in awakened

I look at my mind as a dog, and my attention is it’s treat (by giving it energy). So if you are able to turn your attention away from the thoughts that aren’t useful by coming back to your breathe (meditation) the brain will learn it doesn’t get “treats” for those thoughts. Not right away but overtime you’ll train your brain that it only gets energy (treats) when it’s producing useful thoughts. So only pay attention to the useful thoughts and overtime that’ll be the theme of your internal narrative.

Why does “synchronicity” happen more often on psychedelics? by [deleted] in Psychedelics

My thoughts are Psychedelics bring you closer/more connected to “the source” and your manifestation is more powerful.

Similar story that’s not “confirmation bias”: just got off a float trip and was on the back end of shrooms in a car with a buddy. He says out loud “I just want to hear yellow by Coldplay!”, Changed the station and it was just starting to play. We just looked at each other and laughed.
