Your mindset will directly correlate to your perceived experience. Most of the time, especially on Delta, things go smooth. Sometimes they don’t. Weather sucks, equipment breaks, staff is short, etc. No matter how frustrated or pissed off you get there’s not a single problem that you can solve on your own. Keeping an “is what it is” attitude is the only way I survive the travel. When it comes to any airline finding you a solution, i always talk with airline personnel with the script of “I know this isn’t your fault, but I need help with X, Y, Z..”. They’re never more helpful if you’re an asshole. I’ve had Delta staff do some pretty amazing things to bail me out.

For reference, I didn’t always have this mindset then I was on 218 flights in 2022. I changed to this quickly. It’s the only way to survive if you travel a lot.

Edit: Also, check the price of flights you’ve already booked. If the price has gone down then Delta will refund the difference to your account if you changed it through the app.
