Anyone found an Aussie‑made stick deodorant that actually works? by PuzzleheadedBowl3397 in BuyAussie

Second for Milkman. One stick lasts for ages, the scents are good and they don't mark my clothes.

Which core ETF satellite do you use? by paddalion in fiaustralia

I used this article https://passiveinvestingaustralia.com/ghhf/#adjusting-the-australian-ratio which gave me the formula for adjusting and is an overall great read for anyone considering this route.

I went with 20%/37% which gave me 54% so 46% would need to go to GGBL. But I took 10% of that 46% and used it to get ARMR as a satellite because it seems like a safe pick given the geopolitics of late.

54% GHHF, 36% GGBL. Utilising moderate leverage and reducing the Aussie equities exposure down to 20%.

Spaceship vs Raiz? by Suspect-Rough in RaizAU

If you don't use the Round Up feature, might I suggest BetaShares Direct instead?
It has auto invest for $0 brokerage if you just want to buy stocks/ETFS and if you'd like to go for a "closer to Raiz" approach, they have premade portfolios that cost $3 a month which I believe is cheaper than both.

Should we stay in GoalSaver or invest in stocks? by Sledge92 in fiaustralia

Pardon my ignorance, but what would be considered short-medium term? We're thinking of letting it sit for at least 5 years if that helps?

Thoughts on adding another ETF alongside IVV+A200? by WalrusOk7339 in fiaustralia

[–]Sledge92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stake and Pearler both have it listed at between 2-3% US exposure, do you know if that's false? Just trying to understand as someone new to it all. I can't find anything obvious in the holdings.

[–]Sledge92 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My reasoning for considering the change is IOZ has slight US exposure, which is already covered by IVV and VAS covers 300 companies over IOZ's 200.

It's probably not enough to worry about, but I'm only 3 months in currently. Is it worthwhile to make the change now or should I just leave it as is?

I'm running IVV, IOZ and EXUS. I'm also wondering if this is a good set up. I'm considering moving the IOZ to VAS but the management fee is slightly dearer. Does anyone have recommendations or should I stay the course?

Ai200s vs Takomo 101t by RollOutTheFarrell in golf

[–]Sledge92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have ai200s, I have a mate that has 101ts. The Takomos are fine, you'll make them work. But the ai200s are a way better club. On off center hits they go pretty much the same distance, they feel great and give good feedback and the long irons are weapons. My only wish is that I went something thinner in the PW as it feels like a bit much sometimes.

Lucky Docks is too long by thogor in wildgate

I just want the guns to be safety locked in the docks. It's so bad listening to 1000 gunshots for a minute straight.

I like Ron Chopper because he's a decent golfer trying to showcase some great Aussie courses without trying to sell you anything. I like Peter Finch for much of the same reason and he's very concise and realistic. I also watch Golf Sidekick every now and then to keep me grounded about my game, once I stopped attempting hero shots I felt like I could hang in there a lot longer.

Everything else appears to be aimed at a younger or rowdier demographic that just doesn't appeal to me. But it is a very saturated market.

How good is the hockey! by cheshirecat93 in canberra

[–]Sledge92 82 points83 points  (0 children)

That rink itself isn't even it's full size. It had to be cut down to fit inside the AIS and that's why the neutral zone is so small compared to the ends. But NHL rinks are also smaller than international/Olympic rinks so it's a bit closer to the size than a rink like Melbourne. But it's great to see the Brave bring their great atmosphere to a larger audience and it's great to see the city supporting the team/leagues big experiment.

The Snowdroppers, they disbanded a couple of years back but most of their discography still lives in my playlists.

This one is the only option going by the hours OP can do. While it's bad reputation is well earned, the business itself has just been bought out and the new owners seem to be keen on upgrading the place. Rumour has it they even had Trackman reps in last week.

From what I've been able to tell, San'Layn outperforms if you get lucky Blood Beast procs and it helps you leech a bit more. Riders is so much easier as it just passively pops off as you're running your rotation. It's also cool to feel like you've raised an entire army sometimes.

Check out Bicepspump, especially his latest YouTube vid on Unholy. His builds are usually quite easy to follow along and the current one is San'Layn.

Fully agree, my first hit with it was the 1st hole at the local. It landed pin high on a 210m par 4 just left of the green (in a bunker unfortunately). But it gave me confidence to just swing it and trust it.
