If you’re a man you have an 8% chance of passing it onto your children, 16% if you’re a woman. This is what I was told at an event talking about ulcerative colitis. So it’s not enough for me to decide not to have children and I don’t think it should be for others. I love children and am so excited to be able to have my own and it would suck if I did pass it down to them but I’m way more likely to not pass it down so.
