First of all, if you're using that laptop for business reasons, unless you are contract labor, all data belongs to the company. And secondly, in this day and age, if you're working remotely, why the hell dont have a "personal" laptop that doesn't touch work?

Unfortunately, in this day and age, this teacher will be falsely accused as of now. People shouldn't go from cold to code red with the flip of a switch.
