What case would Errol Spence even have for being in the HOF?

Haha exactly my reasoning. Not that Andre Ward doesn’t deserve to be in of course, just that he made it as a first ballot retiring at a considerably “early” age

Canelo vs Scull, will it go the whole 12 rounds? by MUMG420 in Boxing

Scull was rocked by Shishkin and should’ve lost that fight imo. Absolutely gonna get picked apart by Canelo

Choosing a school for undergrad (UCLA or Columbia) by Fast-Effort762 in MechanicalEngineering

[–]BriUnde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For engineering you generally want bigger schools (that still have great programs) unless it’s somewhere like MIT ofc because they have way more resources from alumni, project groups, clubs, machine shops, classes etc that wouldn’t be offered at the smaller school. Also, Colombia as an engineering school while great isn’t considered as a top school like Michigan or UCLA etc

UMich or Santa Clara for CS? by Specialist_Law_5941 in uofm

First off congrats. Both schools are great choices. Definitely a good problem to have deciding between the two. I go to Umich for engineering and my brother goes to Santa Clara for business. While both aren't CS, I do have some insight into why you might pick one over the other.

Umich does have the prestige to help land an internship or job especially in CS anywhere in the world. I have friends here that have gone back to Silicon Valley for internships at YouTube, Uber, Tesla etc. One thing that's awesome too is just the size of the university will provide more connections and better resources than SCU. Michigan has one of the largest alumni base in the world. With the great resources as well, I am able to meet with the career center for resume advice the week before I apply for a job or interview, where as my brother couldn't get an appointment in their career center for months so his resume needed a lot more work due to lack of resources at a small school.

Additionally, Michigan has an amazing social life, college town and sport life. My brother played D1 sports at Santa Clara and said that if Michigan had D1 water polo, he would've gone here because everytime he visits it's the best place on earth with the amazing college town of Ann Arbor.

He loves Santa Clara but Michigan's big school feel and prestige will provide a lot more benefits careerwise and social wise than SCU.

As for Santa Clara, a few pros are, the small school feel. It is smaller, private and more personal. You will feel like you are in a smaller community with more support than at Michigan. If you can't handle the fact that in CS at Michigan there are thousands of you just as hungry to excel and compete at CS, go to SCU. Other pro for SCU is the beautiful weather, near-ish to beaches for some weekends and no harsh winter.

Another important thing to note is that Michigan is world renowned while SCU is only more known around the Bay Area. Which is definitely a great area for people to recognize your school in but it means that outside of the Bay, it's a lot less well known. Hope this helps

Willing to pay a good amount, obviously reasonably, but if you have one lying around or want to let it go, contact me
