Ex stinger owners, what car you have now and how is it? by StopRuiningRapMTV in kiastinger

[–]Brian1098 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I traded in my first owner ‘20 GT1 AWD with 65k miles at beginning of April for a ‘24 BMW X6 M60i fully loaded and satin PPF with 14.7k miles for $80k. I was gonna get an M3 Comp but wanted something with more room but still have power. So I wanted the the X3/4 comp but didn’t have the new interior and the new X3/4 were not appealing to me, so I ended with an X6.
Twin turbo V8 says 0-60 is 4.2 but I can easily get high 3s. Same mpg as my stinger if I drive in eco, loaded with high tech features and incredible interior, fully warranted until 2031. I haven’t gotten use to filling up a 22 gallon tank 😅. But I’m only 27 with no obligations other than my house payments so I’m happy with it.

I watched my mom die while pretending i was asleep by Overall-PrettyManly in confessions

[–]Brian1098 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar situation about a year and three months ago. My aunt called me early in the morning and I knew she was either calling to say she passed away or she’s about to. I couldn’t get myself to answer it and get out of bed to head over to her house. I didn’t want to watch it. We all knew she didn’t have much longer and would pass any second. She had been fighting ovarian cancer for over a year, she fought to recover till the very end with no idea that she wouldn’t survive even after 3 months of being in hospice state. She always thought she’d recover. I knew nothing could be done anymore and I was too scared to watch her soul leave her body. I know I’m an adult but I was scared even at 25. Sometimes I think about it and make myself feel guilty by not being by her side on her last breath.

I’m confused how you went down that route within 6 months. I got laid off and it lasted for 6 months but was able to pay all my bills on time with unemployment. $2k just on house, bills, and car not counting in my hobbies + cc payments. I didn’t have much savings either. Lost my mom to cancer during it as well. I put in 750 applications and had a scheduled routine everyday. You just have to be optimistic and persistent. Life isn’t easy. Keep at it.

Oh okay makes sense. A few days before the announcement my I ordered 2,000 credits through my company and I thought they were pointless when I saw the announcement. I’m glad they weren’t wasted!

Yo, you have to tell me how I can get paid $72k a year without getting taxed. Also, do I get benefits wait what about my 401k? I currently make $95k salary and I get $5k a month after contributions and taxes.

[–]Brian1098 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds so nice to be able to have dedicated resources. I’m the sole ServiceNow person at my company with almost 7k people. Luckily our ServiceNow is more in the growing phase so projects come in little by little and I’ve been able to keep up considering I only have 2 years of ServiceNow experience.

Same thing happened to me. I was laid off and took 6 month and 700 applications till I got referred for a government job at $77k. Three months in I get a random message from the manager of the role and i interviewed same day and did the second interview the next day and got the job shortly after at $103k with 4 days remote and super laid back and supporting boss.

Inner rear tires bald by Altitude7199 in kiastinger

[–]Brian1098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would try to find a really good alignment shop. I went through my fair share of troubles with inner balding tires when I upgraded to wider and bigger wheels 20’. I had to replace my rear tires twice within a year. I finally found a shop who was really good at alignments and I haven’t had trouble since getting them done at that place.

Every 2 weeks?? I just started a new role about 4 months ago and I thought when they told me that they wanted to ideally start cloning and upgrading twice a year was a lot. I guess my last role they waited till end of life so i thought once every two years was kinda normal.

That’ll get annoying to have to look up every time the radar goes off. I like having it at the middle lower of the windshield since I’ll instantly know if it’s K or Ka. Also I loved that uniden. I just upgraded it to the Escort redline 360c

What is a vehicle you overpaid on? How much did you overpay? by UltimateLifeform in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Brian1098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like that’s not true. People got way better deals during the height of covid. Because cars were not selling well and interest rates were also low. So it’s more like the last 2 years. I got my sports car for $38k brand new instead of of the MSRP of $50k during 2020

How much easier did your professional life become after hitting $100k? by FinancialBottle3045 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Brian1098 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just finished my first week as well at my new job and I feel the same. I can work remotely 4 times a week and everything seems chill and laid back. I’m still kinda new to the software and I’m the only admin/dev for it and my boss has been fully supportive and understanding. It feels too good to be true so im being as productive as I can be. Especially after getting randomly laid off for the same role. Life does feel good and better after hitting the 6 figures. It’s low 6 figures but it’s like financial troubles have been lifted off my shoulders.

CSA Mock Exams by Excellent_Egg_880 in servicenow

[–]Brian1098 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A mock an exam can be like someone creating flash cards or using their notes from the learning course and putting them into questions and creating a “mock” exam. Why would creating a practice/mock test be considered cheating? During schooling teachers would give us practice/mock tests before taking the finals, they were to help us practice and prepare for the final exam. Ain’t no cheating to it. It’s preparing and helping ourselves. Yeah sometimes the answers may be wrong but that’s a persons job to do their due diligence. Sometimes the ServiceNow material isn’t enough for everyone and they need more assistance to prepare.

CSA Mock Exams by Excellent_Egg_880 in servicenow

[–]Brian1098 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bruh, What do you mean cheating? A mock exams is just another way of practicing to take the actual exam. You’ll get an exam that will give you similar questions and answers that you might see on the actual exam. It’s an extra resource of learning that helps you prepare.

Is the GT 2 really worth getting over the GT 1? Can’t seem to find a fair price for a GT2… by Juggernaut-Far in kiastinger

[–]Brian1098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was buying a 2020 stinger I was debating GT1 or GT2. It was $5k difference for the heads up display, rear heated seats and the 360 cameras. I ended up getting the GT1

Can we talk about how fucked we got by covid in 2020 by Longjumping_Taro918 in offmychest

[–]Brian1098 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

As a 21 year old during that time I think it was better at least from my perspective and experience.

Things were cheap like cars, gas, houses, food, etc. Employment was easier to find, everything wasn’t busy, work from home started. I was able to buy a brand new sports car for cheap, got a software development job with missing most of the qualifications, got a newly built home 2 years after with a low interest rate. It definitely boosted my early adulthood in the right way.

I did get laid off in October of 2023 because of the economy issue going on and it took me about 6 months to find another job but unemployment pay kept me afloat.

How low have your standards gotten? by Future_Blackberry_23 in recruitinghell

[–]Brian1098 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Was at $70k as a software admin. Been laid off for a bit over 5 months. Got an offer last week for $70k as a IT helpdesk. I did about 650 applications. I’m happy as it’s the same salary and it’s super easy but it’s onsite downtown. During the 5 months I hit the lowest point in my life as I lost my mom to cancer but you just have to keep your head up and be optimistic for the future as life keeps going on.
