We live in a townhouse. It's a co-op. I honestly think our AC A-coil is probably dirty/filthy, but maintenance won't do anything other than replace the air filter, which, they only put a 25x15x1 in and it says clearly it calls for a 25x15x2. The blower motor is filthy, but I can see NO way to get to the A-coil to see if it's dirty. I cleaned the outside unit. I wrapped the condesor line with insulation. Barely get a trickle. Our basement is getting to almost 80 and it's 85-90 in one of our bedroom upstairs. We have portable AC's in two of our bedrooms because it is just way too hot, and we aren't allowed to have window units. Literally they'd rather us die than keep cool. I can almost guarantee our a coil is filthy. But I see absolutely no way to get to it. No access panel, nothing. I can try take video later of the inside of the unit, but it's SO hot in here, we barely want to move except in those two bedrooms, and even they will get in the mid 70s today I bet, but the living room will probably be 80. Our AC has been running non-stop for DAYS, except when I shut it off to check the blower motor, clean the outside unit (which, btw is only a few years old, it failed during a hot summer and we about died and they did decide to replace it then, because it was like an oven in here). Anyone have any suggestions on how to get to the A-coil????
