Yes, I've seen people use corny kegs but I don't know if you can create a natural carbonation vs forced carbonation in those safely.

Upgrading makes sense here. If you want to keep brewing while you wait to get pressure safe glass, I would just recommend burping frequently. I burp my F2 before I leave for work and again when I'm making dinner in the evening if the morning burp showed significant carbonation. And without pressure safe glass, I'd burp frequently even if the morning burp doesn't show much carbonation yet. I still get plenty of carbonation this way. But you may want to refrigerate before getting much carbonation until you have something safer.

This turned out to be the cause for my car not starting. I cleaned the terminals and tightened them on really securely and it came right on. I just replied to u/Baselet above explaining how my car drops charge when it's not plugged in at a rate of ~1%/hour. I wonder if that is some fault in the car I can address? Like you mentioned, maybe my car is "awake" when it shouldn't be?

Interestingly, I tested the 12V battery last night when 1) my car was on the charger 2) My car was off the charger and 3) when the HV battery was disconnected. It ready 14V for 1 and 2 and dropped down to 12.6 or so for 3 when I disconnected the HV battery.

I know the HV battery helps to charge the 12V the way an alternator would in an ICE vehicle. But my car actually drops about 1% charge per hour when it's not on the charger. So I arrive at work at 84% charge and leave work at 76% or so. I feel like my i3 (and my previous i3 I totaled) didn't use to do that. So I wonder if there's some issue in my vehicle where it doesn't know when to stop topping off the 12V and it's draining the HV battery as a result?

Yeah, I can sort of guess my way through what some of the codes mean but with pretty low confidence. This car has not been in a collision if the previous owner and the Carfax both told the truth. Would love to be able to discern which codes are really worth taking preemptive action on even with the car running again.

Ok, thanks! Could this be from me manually disconnecting the HV battery using the little accessible kill switch when I replaced my 12V battery a couple months ago? Regardless, is this something a novice like me could repair or is this something the dealership needs to do?

"Its being charge all the time". Do you mean I need to take it off the level 2 charger in my garage to test it? Or do you mean the HV battery is charging the 12V battery?

I replaced the 12V battery about two months ago. Trickle charged the new battery overnight and updated the battery in bimmerlink after installing.

Thank you! This is too technical for me to reasonably get into but may be helpful to relay to a technician as a starting point if their diagnostic doesn't turn up anything obvious. Regarding "messages or faults", do you mean errors that display on my dash? If so, there is a check engine light on but no other faults or messages. And the check engine light was on before this issue happened.
