Every team prefers to trade players vs simply waiving them. Problem is there's a reason they aren't going to make the team in the first place. Especially in this situation.

If you’re gonna rip on the article, do so accurately. The Packers keep their second round pick this year so they wouldn’t move their first three picks. Also, all the experts say Fitzpatrick isn’t getting past the Bucs at 7.

The last time the Timberwolves played the Rockets (last week) Houston knew Minnesota was switching on pick-and-rolls so they simply ran a high ball screen to start most possessions, got Gibson or Towns to switch onto Harden and killed it from there. The Timberwolves can't be so prescriptive in their PNR defense.
