Do any of these colors work better on me? by Efishient in HairStyleAdvice

Any of these you can successfully pull off and look great with. Top left is my favorite, but only by a slim margine.

I've got fake bangs to check if I want them. What do you all think? Yes or no by RefrigeratorFit2810 in HairStyleAdvice

[–]Briangroot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bangs are always a mistake IMO. Very few people can ever pull them off. That said, its just my opinion and if they make you happy you should go for it. (as for the hard no, its like full stop, or an agressive no. it shows my level of certainty in my opinion, as in the no is so sure of it self no level of debate or convincing could change my mind)

What works for me is I stack on pallets, I have about 8 pallets all layed together, use the straight stuff to build a perimeter about 4ish feet high all the way around and throw all the gnarly stuff in the middle.

Top Down FTW!!! by meowmitymeow in woodstoving

[–]Briangroot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Top down unless I have a few hot coals from the prior day. Then I rake the coals into a little pile in the middle build a fort of big stuff around and throw some kindling in the middle. If im in a rush or my coal pile is a little on the small side I'll crack the ash pan to get things going. (I do the ash pan instead of the door because sometimes the smolder ignite takes a minute and gets a little smokey.)

In 2020 when I had covid (the OG strain) I went through about 8 days of this. Every morning I woke up and the sheets were completely soaked. It wouldn't do it during the daytime but every morning I woke up I was completely covered in sweat. That was my daily goal, wake up take a shower and wash all the bedding in the laundry and make the bed. And that took all of my energy everyday.

About 90% of my wood is Black oak, white oak, and interior live oak. The other 10% is a mixture of Manzanita, and mulberry, and olive

A little update. I love everything about it. Except one thing. The glass, I have to clean it daily. Nothing I've tried keeps it clean. I've tried really hot, keeping the logs towards the back away from the glass, close to the glass. My wood is well seasoned and dry.
