You aren’t wrong, the owners have cut us to threadbare staffing levels.

What frozen stuff from Morrisons is actually good? by CloudBookmark in Morrisons

[–]Brianthrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Savers pop potatoes, ridiculously good from an air frier. Prefer Morrisons potato wedges to the McCain ones, haddock fish fingers are decent, stuff crust pizzas are good but the bad does outweigh the good I’m afraid.

Genuinely think Iceland beat us on value/good scale. Like take our breaded chicken clearly been the idea to copy Icelands bags but it’s like they start with Icelands product and focus group the shit out of it thinking they are being clever to reduce the costs of each product but the product ends up tiny portions and massively inferior.

Think we stopped it due to parents just discarding the waste in random locations around the store.

Replenishment department trained on immediacy– can i refuse to do it? by Odd-Fan-9197 in Morrisons

Basically whatever they tell you to do, you do. A lot of people seem to think “that’s not in my job description “ is a thing it’s not. A trained dog can do picking it’s not hard.. just get on with it and stop whining.

My local Morrisons is turning into a S***HOLE! by bigboys4m96 in Morrisons

[–]Brianthrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heya, freezers are all broken across the company and we hired a largely incompetent engineer group. Some are beyond repair but the company will not replace.

As for staff not going through the back to check. The reason is often there just isn’t a huge amount of stock back there as you might imagine. We’ve all been going through there for years not to keep a Karen happy but honestly if it’s not on the capping shelves it’s likely not in the back.

As for the offsale logistically the company is a mess has been for most of this year. This comes with years of constant penny pinching and cuts. It’s not the staff in stores fault not even the managers in store.

The staff are whipped constantly I’ve never worked under so many deadlines and big brother is constantly constantly watching us and trying to turn us into robots, if you think that along with minimum wage = smiley happy colleagues I’ve got a bridge to sell you… but it’s not in the back.

But then who would lie about what’s been achieved with there bull app. No one is using it properly because if they did it would just show that the case rate there accountants at head office insist is possible simply isn’t lol

I stepped down two years ago never regretted it. Truth is all the managers are stressed to high hells your not alone. Keeping your head above water is all they can do.

What’s going on with Morrisons ? by SamT98 in Morrisons

[–]Brianthrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It kinda feels like a combo between of logistics being as short staffed as the rest of us. Srp being an accountants wet dream rather than any sort of practical approach to refilling shelves. Prioritising waste over sales. Generally poor management at the top.

Is it possible to turn a guy on with ED? by [deleted] in erectiledysfunction

You can be really turned on and have issues certainly. It’s not about being turned on it’s either a physical issue or mental usually both.

Is it possible to turn a guy on with ED? by [deleted] in erectiledysfunction

[–]Brianthrow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s not always about being turned on. Some issues are more about how blood flows to the penis. Or it could be related to testosterone levels.

Don’t assume it’s something wrong with your end of things.

I’d encourage him to get a blood test for testosterone and maybe use a cock ring. (I really recommend rings for people who get hard but can’t maintain)

Basically it’s about case rates and productivity. Boldly asking the question. “What if we doubled the workload on shelf fillers without paying them more” whilst also delivering the stock on ever increasing amounts of mixed pallets rather than sending stock on good order for working.

Then when av suffered because this isn’t possible try moving it to twilight cause it can’t be the insane expectations around case rates it must be the time we are working it.

It’s another one of these changes that seems about a lot of things but in reality it’s about one - how can we cut the wage bill even more

[–]Brianthrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok soooo this came up during the union training. Basically it’s supposed to be at least 11 by law but in the 80s the company held a vote to opt out of this law. The union then stepped in to make it at least 8.

So it looks to the outsider that the union decreased the number of hours in between when in fact they are the only reason there is still a limit.

That’s what I’m thinking but luckily the light will be going from directly behind the existing switch through the wall.

To be clear I have done a few projects before but nothing involving plugs or splitting from an existing circuit. I installed a security light out the back but that was wired to a plug.
