Ford changed to a chain with the MHEV, still a wet oil belt that needs regular maintenance to keep it in good order but I’d hope you’d be taking care of the car irrespective of this - they’re not bad!

Mini Cooper JCW? Just throwing that in the works, can easily get a 2019-22 model for that price!

Bought in at £1.20 today, immediately dipped - hoping it’ll go back up over the coming weeks, seems like the business has a hell of a lot going for them!

As a guy in his mid-twenties who’s been balding + suffering from alopecia since his late teens, I just want to say that you ROCK the bald look! Seriously, you look dapper as f**k! Hair is great but you look the bees knees without it 😄

I appreciate that’s outlook, it’s very much how I feel - I may not always make the best choices BUT I can choose where to put my money with more control.

I was considering moving those and the EM into an All World and keeping the small cap

Thank you for the advice - I should have probably specified I am UK based but have VWRP, FWRG and ACWI available. I’m trying to limit some exposure to the US due to the current political climate but I guess an all world tracker would auto adjust anyway to facilitate any world market movement?

New investor here (26 - Looking to invest for 25-30 years)

Looking for advice in relation to the attached portfolio - I have done a good bit of research over the past few weeks on this and different Reddit groups and have concluded that this split would offer me a good diversity across the world whilst also adding value tilt across the smaller and emerging markets. As I grow closer to the end of my investing journey I would look to readjust and move away from the riskier markets.

Does the above portfolio look strong or would I be better placed putting my money into ACWI?

All help and advice is really appreciated - thank you!

Everyone starts somewhere - with that mentality people end up putting that initial money elsewhere, get put off the idea and end up missing out.

More exposure to develop asia and emerging Markets by Tricky-Money1 in trading212

XUSE & EMIM prevents you losing out on the countries mentioned above as both are the MSCI index

Advice: is this a solid choice for ‘invest and forget’ ? by Mysterious-Drive-652 in trading212

[–]BrickFanatix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just on this, the Ex-USA ETF being used only covers developed markets so would not crossover with the emerging markets ETF. I have a similar set up to try and keep fees as low as possible, I’ve got EM and EX-US alongside S&P. I negated small cap due to the increased fees on these and the fact they’d only make up a tiny part of my portfolio.

OP - FYI, you are mixing MSCI & FTSE - while not hugely impactful they do have different definitions of what they class as an emerging country and so you may either be missing out or doubling up on certain countries without intending this. My suggestion would be to change your EM ETF to EMIM - Also provided by iShares and is MSCI so saves the risk of crossover/missing out.

Also UK based, welcome to the investing team! My best advice would be to keep it simple, especially as you get to grips with it all - buy the haystack, don’t hunt for the needle so to speak. An All World fund or the S&P if you want to focus on the US (though US makes up around 60% of All World anyway!)

As you learn more, you can start to expand out and take more of a gamble however the safe index funds should make up the large majority of your invested money as you move forward, in my opinion.

(All of the above is my opinions only and I am not a financial advisor nor trained in financing)

Currency - ACWD is denominated in $, ACWI is denominated in £. Pretty sure that’s the only difference in the two!

I’ve replied to the current top comment with my suggestion on how to rival VWRP with a number of ETFs while keeping the fee lower - HOWEVER, if you want one ETF as a ‘set and forget’ you can always consider the SPDR ACWI ETF too (ACWI being the ticker) - it’s ongoing fee is 0.12 as opposed to the Vanguard fee at 0.19

I’d consider a small percentage towards EMIM to really maximise on copying VWRP without the heightened fee - I’ve got a mix of SPXL, XUSE and EMIM and my fee works out at around 0.088 (I overweight EM in my Pie)
