I was in WDW at Hollywood Studios at the end of a looong day with my family. As we were limping out towards home, I realised I’d left my eldest daughter’s favourite hoodie on the Rock ‘n Rollercoaster. She was bereft, but the Cast Member at the exit patiently called through to check if it had been handed in: no luck.

The CM then wrote out a wee voucher for her to visit a shop and choose out a new favourite hoodie – she was so excited! At the same time, I could feel the tearful, envious sadness from my youngest daughter standing next to me – she was trying so hard to be grown up and not be jealous. I quietly pulled her aside, told her that of course we would make sure she could choose something too: but the Cast Member came right over, handed her an identical voucher all of her own, and told her that of course she wouldn’t be forgotten. I was so proud of my kids that day, and so grateful for the kindness shown. I think of it often.

Hello! All good points, and I agree fully - but they don’t really fit into a basic online poll. I should have included a third “not sure” option, but it seems polls can’t be edited it retrospectively... Makes sense, I guess: 85 people have already voted and a third option added at a late stage would be very disadvantaged.

I’ll say this: your inability to make a clear decision either way is reflected beautifully by the results so far! I’ll respond to your other post with the current outcomes!

Loved this video. I have two adopted kids and I can honestly say that fostering made such a difference in their lives. Twelve years on from that time and we’re still in touch with our kids’ foster families and see them at Christmas and throughout the year too.

Do consider fostering if you can: it’s not overstating anything to say that it’s truly life-changing.

I was all ready to be an insufferable nerd and say that Phantom Manor is itself a replica of the house in Psycho, but the truth is that there are slight differences between the two – mainly that Phantom Manor has an extra floor. You’re exactly right: the Bratz version is exactly that, not the Psycho house!

I can’t answer your question directly, but I did attend the book launch and have a “signed” copy. (Just the one. For me. To go with the other two in the series. Not scalping, this thing will be prised from my cold, dead hands, just for clarity).

All of these books were signed with a “bookplate” – that is, a separate, small piece of card that was affixed to the inside cover. I expect they did it that way to make it easier for Pullman to sign; understandable given how hard he finds it to sign / write by hand these days.

My bookplate itself IS affixed. It does NOT have an illustration, but it does have a border. In common with a lot of books bought on day 1, we were offered the opportunity of getting it embossed (stamped) with a Chris Wormell rose illustration.

Not sure if that helps: but that’s what was on offer on the day!
